Not gonna lie this man has all the space and tools to professionally tint a window. I need to find a hood tutorial where they're tinting the window in the middle of a parking lot with 4mph wind. Good video tho.

Bro, not gonna lie, your work and process is excellent. As someone who has about 8 years of solid detailing and ceramic coating experience, and who is OCD and a perfectionist, I can truly admire your skill. Personally, I've always had a difficult time applying wrap and tint. I guess I just haven't done enough of them, but it gets frustrating for me, which I why my profession is detailing and ceramic lol. So watching someone like yourself fly through it, is awesome. Keep doing what you're doing and moving forward! Much respect!

It took me 4hrs to tint the side windows of my Tesla M3LR. Messed up 4 time; one per each windows. 3 were creased and one was cut short because of stinginess. One needs to be redone again because I’m not happy with the result but I need another weekend to do so. I bought Lexen koolmax because I didn’t want to pour too much money knowing that I’ll mess up. Last time I tint my car windows was about 14yrs ago and that was with easy to shrink film before ceramic was readily available. Ceramic seems to take a lot more heat to shrink.

Great info, I'd never try tinting my own car. I just pay my local 25yr tinter $35 a window for 25% for the front doors & a bit darker for the back here in TX. (The more windows, the cheaper it is) L.E. & Inspection places are cracking down on window tint here in TX. Gotta be no less than 25% & I seen a lady not pass inspection because her new car tested at 20% Talk about a joke, I think they could've let that one slide.

@tint studio. This might be a dumb question but I gotta ask someone who knows tint lol. So I’ve seen some videos of people saying spray tint whether it’s night shade or lens tint works on car windows. But of course none of them show the inside after it’s done. So I tried it. Looked like shit from the inside. All blurry, too dark. So I learned the hard way that those are just people making bs videos for clickbait. But is there an actual spray tint that u know of that works on windows? I’m not good with the film and screwed up 2 Walmart rolls on one window. So thought maybe I’d have better luck with a spray style tint if there is one

@@goatedvault1070 not true in many cases. Tesla will bite you in the A for double cutting for sure. I’ve tinted plenty VW cars as well, where the driver glass on the top edge was different from the passenger, and the shrink was also different. Double cut works, but not all the time. Especially with aftermarket glass. Always check your glass before cutting. I was mentioning, test how long it take to do every glass individually, in case it’s a situation like that, and how quick you can cut every glass.

@@goatedvault1070 negative. I’ve challenged this theory before. It will not double the time. The time it takes him to lay the film and the back and forth time walking back and forth from double cutting, you at most save 5-10m if you are a good tinter. Unless he is doing 6-10 cars in a work shift, it’s not worth the time. All double cutting does is make both glass have the same cut in one go. What do you do when you have to tint one piece of glass after a bad install? Strip the other and double cut so they look the same? No. That’s where skill and Precision comes in to challenge your ability to make the same cut on different sides of the car. My challenge was to see if he can do the cut on both sides symmetrical. Majority of his tint jobs are double cut to save time for us and to be symmetrical for the customer. Which is the way to go for sure, but when you can make the exact cut without double cutting, that will show how skillful, and precise you are. You must still be in the process of learning if you don’t understand that the process from driver to passenger side is different. Most people who tint will tell you, the glass cut differs left to right because the glass is different left to right. Even the shrinking is different on both sides. Example, cut a top edge of glass from right to left on the driver side, then cut from right to left on the passenger side. You will be cutting a different slope from the other. You will be surprised how many people can’t cut on both sides of a car.
