How Car Windows Are Tinted | Insider Cars
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Tinted windows can be found on most cars. Some come tinted from the manufacturer, while others have aftermarket tint. The process is simple, but it can't be rushed and requires attention to detail. Elliot Baker, the founder of Tint School Online, demonstrates his process for perfectly installing window tint.

It is pretty simple to do .When you cut your front doors line up the bottom edge ,cut the front edge then move the film forward 1 eighth of an inch then cut the back edge then move the film back ,then cut your top edge. Then when you do the back doors cut the back edge first then move the film back 1 eighth of an inch then cut the front edge then top edge.

I now have my second bus, the first one I got the windows professionally done for a grand. Ol mate told me quite a few times that he buggered up the quote and I got an absolute bargain. This new bus, I’d like the privacy, but not ready to spend the big bucks yet. Got tint rolls on eBay for 20 bucks. Watched this video, first window forgot to spray the back of the film, hard to work but ok-ish finish. Second window, I tore the film while cutting in. Third one, looks pretty good. Thanks so much for this video, I found it very helpful and saved a lot of money
So I bought some equipment to run a part time tint business but realised you need alot of practice to get the technique right so I changed my mind. Pretty tricky actually however there is a huge market where I am from as it is used as a deterrent against window break in and grabs at stop lights.
Excellent Elliot first class job the Audi looks like it was tinted in Germany in the factory , great video also almost forgot there
I'm thinking about adding tints to my car, you've just given me the confidence to give it a try. With summer here I need to keep my car physically cool, tints will make a big difference on those long summer drives. Thanks for the tips!

The only problem I see here is the amount of water dripping down below the window into the electronics. You can really reach havoc with many cars especially the rear windows that are over many ECUs
@punktalley
11 ай бұрын
The electronics are on the inside door frame away from the glass. All windows in a vehicle are designed to allow moisture to drain out the bottom of the door. Having said that along with being a tint shop it's best to use some type of absorption system.....I use FOSHIO SOAK ROPE 2 IN 1 with a crash wrap on door panels....not so much for electrical damage protection but to minimize customer complaints. They see the extra care of using the rope they tend to have questions about the care of their vehicle. Plus the streaks from the dash and door panel conditioner being removed with tint slip solution ( water and baby shampoo). Which does it hurt door panel and dash conditioner it just has to be reapplied.
what a process!
I will never be able to do this.. my patience nonexisten and OCD can be a bit crazy. props to those in the business
It took me almost 1 hour to do 1 window😂😂and he did it in 5 mins.

Side windows are easy back window is where you might run into trouble especially if you dry shrink, i recommend wet shrinking it as you can tell immediately when the tint is shrunk because itll snake up the window.
Thanks for the video

I've tinted over 600 homes over the course of 20 years. I always hired out my cars. The degree of difficulty is off the charts. This is not a DIY job. If you like your car, spend the money with a pro.
and as soon as you turn on the rear window defrost the bubbles appear lol 😁 Good job 👍
My car is tinted 20% all round. Tint def makes some cars look super cute.
I'm a student with the school but still after months I am having issues. I will Not give up but have run out of friends any family cars to do. Very good
I just spent about 4 hours removing the tint from the back window of a car that was tinted about 20 years ago. The tint had failed to the point that you could barely see out the back window anymore. That was a tedious project requiring, scraping, steaming and peeling, that I don't want to repeat. I have another car that was tinted about 8 years ago that looks like the back window tint is just starting to fail and I will probably be having to remove that in a few years if I still own the car.
