Yeah, I have to say Alice was definitely the best character in the books and the movies! Plus, the actress obviously studied the books because she really does Alice's personality justice. Alice and Bella's dad are the ones to watch - plus baby Anna Kendrick's budding charm is delightful, even if her character was kinda bitchy at times.

I mean, you had enough curiosity and questions at the end that you may as well watch the rest of them. They get... less cringey... a little bit. Spoken with love from a true Twilight fan 😂

ok just a few unspoilery things to answer some of your questions: 1 - nobody really knows how vampires get their abilities (and not all vampires get one) but edward’s theory is they are “expantions” of a very strong character trait they had as humans, for example edward was probably very intuitive and receptive towards other people’s thoughts and feelings. and there is also probabily a genetic component, for example in midnight sun (the last book of the saga, basically twilight but from edward’s pov) he explains that he can’t really hear charlie’s mind clearly, it’s mostly vague sensations and feelings. 2- bella doesn’t really have any particular blood type, normal vampires generally think that she smells particularly good, but to edward she smells basically irresistible for some reason.

These are easily explained. 1. The author is a crap writer writing a weird edgy love story, she's either incapable or unwilling to do good world building, she just makes shit up, including powers, as she goes along. 2. The vampire not being sure if they're hungry or horny is an old trope, so is the damsel that attracts vampires more than usual. The "reason" is old tropes and having a convenient reason for the tepid character of Bella to have an entry point and relevance in the story.

You had so many questions during this movie, and if you pay attention and continue to watch them, you will get every answer. And they are very well worth a watch.

The first movie left a huge impact in the town where I grew up. Because it was filmed there. Some school scenes, Bella’s house, and Edward’s house. All of the girls in my school were so freaked out by all of this that it became an event.

Were you guys drinking? LOL! You Laughed through the WHOLE movie.

Fun fact: when Carlisle was first turned into a vampire, his father was a vampire hunter and so Carlisle was trying to kill himself because he believed that vampires are killers. He refused to take human life, and at the last moment, he drank blood from an animal and then dedicated his life to helping other people.

Just some facts that aren't stated in the movie(s) that I would like to share. Bella's character- She is a very responsible, mature and reserved person. She grew up a lot faster because her mum wasn't very responsible so she ended up handling the chores of the house including paying bills and alot more. Her mum is a very jolly, lively, young spirited and fun seeking kind of immature person, while Charlie is more laid back, home body, chill fishing lover. She was like her mother's mum, but also took care alot of Charlie in the books in a domestic sense (cooking and cleaning). She looks like her mum but is like her father in personality. Bonus note- Edward can't really read Charlie's thoughts that well; he can read his mind but it's not very clear compared to others. And finally Bella is the first person Edward has ever fallen for. He never dated or had feelings for anyone. Bella is his first, just like he is her first. BONUS! The Cullen Family abilities; Carlisle- Enhanced Compassion Esme- Enhanced Love Rosalie- Enhanced Beauty Emmet- Enhanced Strength Jasper- (I won't mention because they will be mentioned in another movie and I don't want to spoil incase you do react to the others) Alice- Precognition Edward- Telepathy & Enhanced Speed

If you look back in the scene where they are cooking for her. Not only are they cooking just for her, but if you look near the bottom left you can seen the boxes that the cook ware came in. They JUST bought cook ware JUST so they could cook food JUST for Bella. Sorry that was a lot of 'JUSTS'. Lol

The eyes of the vampires in the Twilight Saga can have three different colors. Black means the vampire is very hungry. Gold means the vampire only feeds on animal blood (vegan). Red means the vampire feeds on human blood. That's why they often wear contact lenses in public, but these dissolve over time.

These movies sure are unique. My sister was way into the books and I took her to each of the movies when they came out. While they aren’t my type of movie, they do have some good/cool points so I would watch them all. At least for the memes.

Yes, you need to watch them all. Like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, you won’t get the complete story (“Saga”) without watching them all.

To answer one of the ending questions - Jacob's dad did pay him to go there. It's made a little more clear if you listen to Jacob telling the story while he's at the beach with Bella. It's clear that he doesn't believe in the "old stories" but in the book, it's clear that Billy (Jacob's dad) does believe the stories so he's worried about Bella's safety.

I would recommend all of them. The characters develop, especially Bella and her dad that is very sweet. They are corny at times but at the heart are about an old soul love story and finding your path in life. The books were much better I think but I enjoyed the movies too.

You guys should watch all of them. I was lucky enough to see all these in theatres, Edward's entrance was crazy, some girls clapped, screamed. Crazy. Another thing to know is their skin is marble that's why Vampires in this world sparkles. This is one of few teenager drama supernatural movies where the side characters are actually cool.Another from the books is whatever traits they had as a human they amplified to the mex as a vampire, so Edward was self conscious in what others thought of him, and so he can read people's mind, Jasper I'm guessing can make anyone feel at ease when he was human, now as a vampire can control people's emotions. Alice however already had premonitions of the future but wasn't always clear, and back then, (unclear of the year) they declared her crazy and put her in Psych ward of a mental hospital. That's why she can't remember anything of her time as a human but now, as a vampire, she gets full-blown visions. They never mentioned it, but James was the one who turned her I believe, Carlisle found her because that's where he was working in at the time, he took in.

James wasn't the one who turned Alice, but Alice was his singer much like Bella is Edward's. He wanted to kill her, but a vamp who worked at the asylum, changed her before James got a chance to kill her. He tells Bella this in the books while he has her at the ballet studio.

I'm out of town, so I don't have my book in front of me, but I did find this through Google: "Alice was transformed by an old vampire who worked at the asylum to protect her from James, a tracker vampire who was hunting her. After some research, Alice found her grave and discovered that the date on her tombstone matches the date of her admission to the asylum." There is also many videos on YT that goes through this as well. One explains how James was responsible for Alice becoming a vampire. Three really good backstory Alice videos are the New Voices of The Twilight Saga. One shows why Alice was in the asylum (The Mary Alice Brandon File), one shows when Alice and Jasper met (We've met Before) and one shows how Alice was changed and by who. (The Groundskeeper). The last one is not as good as the other two, but they are great sources for Alice's backstory.

@@amybowens1503 That's innacurate. The other response was correct - James did not turn her but wanted to kill her like he wanted to kill Bella. Another vampire turned Alice and James killed that vampire, which is the reason Alice woke up alone.

Jacob’s father actually DID pay Jacob to tell Bella, that she/the Cullens, are being watched. Jake is saving up money to restore a car, so he choose to do it.

Yes, and Jacob was super embarrassed and didn’t want to do it at all. He kept telling pieces of it and stopping but Bella finally got it out of him. He doesn’t believe any of the tribal legends.

I entertain myself by replacing “vampire” with “umpire” to make myself laugh. “I know what you are.” “Say it” “Umpire”. 😂😂😂

All of these movies are famous. Don't know why they're trashed. Just fun and entertaining. Can't watch just one.

I'm and old fart. I'm a single parent of a 22 year old and I never remarried. Charlie (Bella's dad) was the character I related to most throughout this whole movie series. I liked how you two picked up on Charlie and Bella trying really hard to reconnect. I thought it was sweet that they really loved each other and wanted to have a father daughter relationship even though they haven't lived together for a while. I can't wait to see you two react to the rest of the movies.

I tell all Twilight movie reactors read the books.

The "reveal" scene in the woods makes me crazy. First, she takes what she believes is a Vampire deep into the woods, away from everyone, knowing there have already been two deaths by "animal attack." Then Edward is literally telling Bella how much he wants to kill her and how her smell drives him crazy and it's like a heroin addiction, and her response is to get up in his face??? And before the day is over she is irrevocably in love with him?!? The horny genes are strong in this girl, and the self-preservation genes are non-existent.

Twilight is such a fun franchise, if you are someone who goes in and just accept them as they are and go with the flow, you are gonna have a fantastic time. They have such rewatchability factor and so entertaining. Highly recommend you check them all

So funny to rewatch these at 28 years old. When these came out, I was like 12… the fangirl energy was strong 😂 Still a fun watch because I find it so nostalgic. I read all the books in a weekend and I swore I was so grown up.

vampire lore. The concept of the vampires in twilight are completely different from what most people are used to. So like when they become a vampire their facial structure shifts in ways to make them like angels but also predators. And it's interesting because humans can revert to an animal type nature given the type of situation. Next their scent, voice and face attract people rather they like it or not. Which goes with what they're made of. Their body erupts into different kinds of material, ice, minerals and diamonds. It goes with the myth of why they can't go out into the sunlight, why they don't need to breathe, why they're so strong, and why they can pierce through skin without needing fangs. But here's the really interesting part, when they're torn apart they look like hollow dolls. It kinda symbolizes how dolls attract people and how beautiful they look. But the hollow part resembles their existence. Dolls never age, and their emotions are always beneath the surface. They don’t need to breathe, rest, or catch their breath. They only need blood for the cravings but their strength wouldn’t really deminesih without it. Kinda like kryptonians but with a bloodlust.

some of it is obv a little cheesy, but it all makes a lot more sense in the books because there’s more explanation and build up to their relationship. even the small details like them just staring at each other in the meadow, it’s from the book and it makes more sense when you’ve read it lol

The man who plays Bella's dad was born and raised in my home town. He's a really nice man. Binge watching the Twilight movies when you are sick and high on Nyquil is really the way to do it the first time. I quite like movies 3,4, and 5.

Edward Cullen analysis. Right off the back u can tell he is antisocial and shy. And he was probably like this when he was human. Becoming a vampire makes it difficult because you're in a new body with new impulses that could lead to destruction and no one can really stop you. So he has to have constant self control. Kinda like your kryptonian but with a bloodlust. And everyone wants to be around him because they're drawn to him. But because he can read minds he can probably find out what they're thinking to find ways to tell them to get lost. But because of what he is he's always alone. Even in his family he's alone in the beginning because everyone has someone except for him. So when he finds Bella, yes he's happy but a piece of him is hoping that she'll leave because he doesn't want her to feel the misery of being a vampire. Like even though he knows he'll never drink her blood because of how much self control he has over himself more than other vampires, he still makes jokes about it because a tiny piece of him is hoping that she'll leave.
