How is the UK Rwanda asylum plan affecting Ireland?

Ireland - like many European countries - is seeing a growing number of asylum seekers.
It’s blaming the UK and the open border with the north for the influx.
Can the two countries come to an agreement or will the political standoff worsen?

Lucky Kamboule from South Africa was granted asylum in Ireland in 2013. Really? On what grounds? He may have been granted residence for other reasons but there was no war in south Africa in 2013.

14,000+ Irish homeless (4,000 are children). A shambolic health service that’s not fit for purpose. Children with scoliosis are left languishing in pain. Cost of living rising persistently. Inadequate mental health services. And the list goes on and on.

The Irish govt are telling people who can't get a roof over their head in their own country that they have a moral obligation to provide accommodation for unlimited numbers of asylum seekers. An old age pensioner, Sean Meehan, was threatened with prison and having his home demolished for putting a cabin on his own land, making him homeless; while the Irish govt by-pass planning regulations to provide rapid-build modular housing rent-free, with free healthcare, food, heating, electricity, transport, etc. etc. to non-Irish people who are allowed to work full time while living rent-free with all living expenses paid for by the Irish taxpayer. A generation of young Irish workers are stuck living at home with their parents as they can't afford a home in their own country, while their taxes that should go on public services for THEM are used to build the house for someone else who contributed nothing to the system, but who reaps all the benefits, including €1m a month spent on Ukrainian's pets Mr. Khambule is one of those living off the Irish taxpayer: he comes to an island where generations of the people died for their country and fought for equality, where Robert Hamill was kicked to death for being an Irish Catholic in April 1997 - and in a state that provided Mr. Khambule with housing, money, media platform, and the protection of the law - the country that was fought for and built by the blood, sweat, and tears of the Irish people including my own grandfather - here Mr Khambule chooses to makes his stand against "injustice", while making a living off the backs of the Irish taxpayer (along with €6bn public money annually spent on NGOs), not in his own country against its government The Irish people are starting to get a little bit fed up with the Irish government's policies

75% of Irish in a recent poll said there is too much immigration. Also there is a massive housing shortage and Irish people can't get housing. A lot of refugees are economic immigrants and people want it stopped. This is also just not an issue in Ireland. Geneva Convention needs updating as a lot of these people are not "refugees".

Well Ireland don’t blame UK but implement strict border lines so that they don’t cross into Ireland as this will help your neighbor as well as Ireland and if they will be forced to go to Rwanda and the refugee will think twice before leaving their home. And this gentleman says Irish community is welcoming than send them to their home. What about the Irish women and children who are fatally being attacked..Just a thought. Why should it’s a duty of the host country to accommodate these criminals. Why?
