How I Work on My Weaknesses | RUFFCUT S1E2

Спорт

Watch me in my aggressive inline practice as I work on my biggest weaknesses.
Topsides have always been hard for me and I constantly need to work on them in order to get a little bit better. While spinning is also not my forte, I've seen solid progress happening in the past few months. I can spin 360 or 450 out of grinds without too much of a hassle anymore.
RUFFCUT is my vlog series. It's not cinematic, it's not perfect and what I say only makes sense half of the time. I massively enjoy making these because I can take some of the pressure off by default. I hope it's also fun to watch! I post an episode every other day and the first season will include 20 episodes.

Haha 😅 Thanks man! I want to have a clean style in my skating. That's why I always practice. I may be doing the same tricks that I did four years ago, but my style, my control and my consistency have improved so much that they barely look like the same tricks anymore... Style is my number one priority!

rollife I agree man. It doesn’t matter if you know every trick. Just look good doing them!

Great practice sesh! I am scared of just falling over when drilling non-dominant leg! Just urban skating. Shits me up every time. Good on you, bro. Great to see this.

Imagine how it felt when you first started doing things regular. It was also super weird. Through repetition you'll get more confident skating switch. Try easy things at first, like looking over your non dominant shoulder when skating backwards, doing switch mono rolls...

@@rollife Thanks for your reply. Yes, you are right - practice and repetition is the only way. A switch mono roll being a roll on the non-dominant foot alone? Not transitioned to backwards yet. Focusing on stride, scissor on dominant leg and crossover on dominant leg. Just constant practice isn't it?

@@thepollenjock A mono roll is when you lift one foot up and try to roll with only one skate on the ground. It's great to practice the weight distribution used for nice, clean strides, crossovers and many other techniques. If you want to make it harder, try to follow a line. If you start to get more confident, try to do turns etc. - you get it. Just keep going, you'll get there!
