    Consistency can look like practicing my languages once a week if that’s all I can manage considering the other things I am responsible for. I like that you acknowledge that. Thank you for your videos on your study practice!

    I love your love of learning! I feel the same way and even at age 64 I still keep learning. This seems like a great way to learn a language and I’m going to try this technique to brush up on my French language skills.

    I received my April sub on Saturday and absolutely love the new subscription packaging, it was so beautiful to see the design through the little window. I also learned something powerful- I often wish for less plastic in packaging but learned why it is so important. On Saturdays we have a different mail carrier, my subscription package was left on the front porch instead of the carport door. I was rainy all day yesterday- even though we have a deep front porch and the package was not directly in the rain, we have high humidity on the Gulfcoast (USA). When I saw the package and opened it up, the black folder was very damp - it dried beautifully which is also good to know. My stickers and parchment were perfect and unaffected by the moisture

    Thank you! Yes I agree on reducing the plastic packaging too but unfortunately they are so necessary for exactly this reason.

I’ve been trying to be intentional with my reading and take more meaningful notes to absorb and remember as much as I can. Thanks for sharing this! 🥰

    Catherine! I am a person in Korea who loves and uses Sterling Ink very much. The page full of Korean you wrote in Sterling Ink is very impressive. The Korean writing is so beautiful too!! I am also using a copy of common Planner as a study book. I was very inspired after watching the video today. Although you are a busy mom, it's great to see you as an independent person who consistently studies. If you don't mind, can you tell me who the Korean KZreadr is? The sentences written in the notebook are beautiful. That's the way he talks. I'd like to see it too.

    Wow this is perfect! I’m studying to become a network engineer and it’s going to take approx. 6 months of learning. I’ve been using my iPad to write notes but I think this is perfect for a rewrite of condensed notes. I also like know what days I learned things like you, like a study journal if you will.

    Love the video! I love learning too! I am presently a teacher and use my SICP for a teacher planner. I love that I have a planner with empty pages to take notes and have everything with me when I take my planner to the classroom. Thank you for posting how you are using your CP notebook/SCIP planner to track your learning. I was wondering how you were going to use your books. We only spoke briefly about what we were doing in our CP’s in the FB group last year. I am the one in the FB group who used my B6 SICP to track my Astronomy/Telescope Learning Journal/Notebook. I too am a life-long learner. I could live a hundred more years and not have enough time to learn all the things I want to explore. I love to learn and try to instill in my students that learning should never stop, it has to be life-long.. This year I chose another planner for my learning so I would have more space; but I do miss the square grid notebook paper in the back of my planner... I love all of my SI books/planners and I love seeing what you’ve done with your books. I especially love the B5 notebooks you just released. I hope you keep them in the shop. In the meantime, I will try to figure a way next year to make my B5 into my 2025 learning CP book... I will use a date kit to make it what I need for next year. Thank you for making such wonderful things to share with us. Everyone I know that sees my books and gasps at the SI stickers and my books. This year, I actually gifted one friend a 2024 A5 SICP half year planner to her because she loved my SICP books/planners so much... And Oh my goodness, I didn’t even know that Kindle made something like with a pen, and now I must have it and that book “Writing to Learn.” May you and your family be well and prosperous in the coming years, thank you for all you do. Tina

    Hi Catherine! I’m a new homeschooling mom myself and would love to know what curriculum you’re exploring with Sterling. We are on our trial year this year and my son will be in Kinder this coming school year. It’s nerve wracking and exciting at the same time!!!

    Our kids are around the same then! He is supposed to start kindergarten this coming fall but he is already doing a pod with a group of kids that are slightly older so I felt like he was ready to do some lessons. It is definitely a huge task and also very exciting like you said. We are looking at Memoria press and book shark at the moment with a few other programs for reading and writing just to get a feel of what would suit him better. I think you just never know until you try it because kids especially at that age learn so differently from each other.

    Hello! I'm new to the common planner. I love what I am seeing so far 😍. I wanted to ask a question about this planner before I fully made a switch. For the daily section, are there enough pages to write 2 pages per day? For example; For Monday, I normally plan my day on the left side and journal and memory keep on the right side.

  • @SterlingInk

    @SterlingInk

    Ай бұрын

    thanks for the kind words about the planner Takisha! For the daily section of the common planner you'll get weekly 2 page spreads, so there wont be enough space to plan your day on the left said and journal on the right side as both pages are taken up by the vertical weekly layout. However, we do have a daily undated planner now, where you could split the daily pages to a plan on the left and take notes on the right. If you want check out our recent shorts on the undated daily planner to see the layout.

    Thanks Catherine - can I ask if you prefer the Scribe over an iPad?

  • @SterlingInk

    @SterlingInk

    4 ай бұрын

    Thank you. Yes I prefer the Scribe over an iPad 5000%. The only time I ever use the iPad is when I am reading the math textbooks on kindle because they don't show up on kindles, only in the apps. Even then I would prefer to use my color book air plus which is an e-ink device. But because the writing is too small so I have to zoom in and it' just too laggy to do that.

  • @hannkg7715

    @@hannkg7715 Yes it is. And in our home me and my husband try to not be on the screen that much. Kindle does not count as screen and my son thinks it's the same thing as a book so that's another plus. I also love that at night before bed, when my mind is racing, I can quickly jot down some stuff even in the dark.

    @@SterlingInk The jotting down of notes is a very appealing aspect too. Thanks for the info, I think I might try one as reading on the iPad gives me a headache after a while. I'm sure the blue light is not conducive to sleep and melatonin also.
