Just write the lesson down quickly in a scratch paper, then when you have free time or when you get home you can copy from the scratch paper and repeat with better handwriting, thats what i do

My professor actually told me that it can help some students remember their notes better and etc. if they make them "pretty" or customize them the way it stands out to the student.. I love drawing and doodling and writing so I started doing that and making my notes fun and pretty, and I got better in class cuz I loved looking at my notes and I could remember, "Oh hey! So and so is blah blah because I remember it's by that pretty red flower I drew it by" and such.

You can try to rewrite your notes fancy after class, don't bother if it doesn't look goog while the teacher is talking because I have the same problem... I just try to write propper so that I can read it when I rewrite them!

adding visual aids to notes improves recall... also spending effort on your notes improves recall. This is a great idea, and a great video.

No need. Try some different pens. My handwriting ugly hideous in ballpoint and pencil but better in fine liners. No need for calligraphy and brush pens either. I do a rather cute header just using a highlighter to write in normal cursive and trace over it with a fine Stabilo pen. It looks different, but as cute as calligraphy imo. And it's easier too.

Girl I use a paper mate skinny pen bc they make my handwriting look better, I write all my notes in black then use highlighter and color pens/markers to make them stand out. My handwriting is literally ass tho but it looks nice in my notes.

For me, I take notes neatly (not necessarily make them pretty on purpose, but I have pretty clean handwriting) so that I can internalize the information. I hardly ever go back to my notes but I'm a very tactile person so just the act of hand-writing down the notes helps me learn the information (whereas taking notes on my laptop is not the same). So people who say it's a waste of time probably learn differently than me, but they should know that for a lot of people writing notes out carefully/neatly/prettily helps learning!

3:55 is like the place i always stop at and reference for my notes actually...because of Jasmine, i was inspired to start working harder and my teachers are all proud of me, and i feel better about myself. my grades have improved and i used her tips and notes as a reference and i even tried laying out a project using some of the borders and styles and my history teacher said my was the best in the entire grade! i'm so glad i put in more effort ^ - ^ thank you u have changed my life jasmine : ) and i feel better about myself and i stopped comparing myself to others so i could appreciate how my work ethic has changed

Tip for anyone with teachers that give you 0.2 seconds to note stuff down : have two notebooks, one to scruffily note stuff down in class & one to write fancy notes at home.

What I love is this is perfectly imperfect like the lines are not perfectly straight yet it gives you the idea that it's perfect or somewhere near that just because of that hand written, neat and organized kind of feel. * I have no idea how to put my thoughts into words *

hey now, i'm a leftie and my handwriting is nice and neat when i make up my mind to. Otherwise if i don't care i will do a mess of a handwriting. It has nothing to do with which hand you use to write.

Because of your great tips, I have found a way to study that works for me and my grades are getting better. I was failing history and my biology grade was dropping, but since I started taking nice notes, I've studied, and my grades are above so much better! Thank you so much! 💕

I use graph paper as well, it really helps with organization and letter sizing. my teacher always compliments my notes so I thought I'd share that little tip.
