How did the cuttings do? Curious to know are you willing to sell or trade any? I have all sorts of plants and Hoyas. You can view them on my plant channel. Let me know.

They all rooted perfectly! They definitely do well in pumice. Unfortunately we can only sell plants within Newzealand due to pur biosecurity.

I've never heard of prop sand. Is it the same as regular play sand? How often do you water your cuttings?

You should have packaged up a cutting and sent it to me.😉 But it looks like a great plant, I would love to get my hands on it one day. Is it a fast grower?

They are doing great! They all rooted so well, I have since sold them but I get sent update pics from time to time :) As for care I usually water when leaves go soft and less plump and have it in a bright indirect spot

I just got a couple of these cuttings unrooted. What do you think about prop in a cup in moist sphagnum moss and on a heat pad? I even put one cutting (with cup of sphagnum moss) in a plastic gallon bag to see if that would help. Thoughts?

Yeah moss works well as a prop medium. Just be careful about having the moss too wet as it can cause rot.

Omg this came at a perfect time i just got a tiny start! Im so afraid of killing it maybe i should change it from soil to pumice? Its like super small 4 little baby leaves. I cant wait go see updates on yours

Whatever you feel most comfortable with! if it has roots and is growing i'd usually prefer soil. If it's got small or no roots i'd go pumice until it is more established.

Hi! Thank you for sharing! Did you put it in the wet pumice or watered it after? I'm just curious how you watered the cuttings. About to cut mine up and would love an advice!

Hello, you can do it either way, it doesn't really matter. Although wetting the pumice first is supposed to be a better way.

Hi ya, as in previous comments i propped this guy to sell cuttings so they have all gone to new homes now. I get updatea from time to time and all are doing great and are established plants now :) Such a great way to prop FT hoya. I continue to use this method now and have always had great success! 😁

I regret not getting a heat mat sooner! It has saved sooooo many cuttings for me this winter! Mainly because I like to propagate all year round so takes the struggle out of prop over winter :) I will stop using them once it warms up
