One of the best propagation videos I have ever seen! I am a hoya junkie. After spending many dollars on other plants, they are the only ones who prosper with myself. Please continue with your hoya videos. Wow!!!

I love your videos! I am hoya obsessed. I root my hoyas utilizing the plastic bag method. I place my cuttings in a small plastic nursery pot filled with leca. I put the pot into a plastic bag, place a 1/2 cup of water with a drop of Superthrive at the bottom of the bag, blow air into it and close it up. I place it on a heat mat under grow lights. Within two weeks I have inch long roots. I slowly transition the hoya into my home environment, and it is ready to take off. I have yet to find a Hoya that doesn't love leca.

This is one of the best propagation videos I've seen and not just for hoyas. Really well explained. The LECA/orchid bark was a method that I was not aware of. Good job on your videos.

Funny you should say the baggie method works best. I have recently bought a few Hoya and got a freebie from one of the growers. It was a leaf with a little bit of stem. I dampened some sphagnum moss, put it into the moss and put them both in a baggie and the rest of the stem promptly fell off, however, I pulled it out to check it and found the most delicate root growing off of the leaf so I am hopeful.

I loooove your videos!! I had a Hoya curtisii that I had to cut to propagate and I think I’m going to put it in some orchid bark instead of just leaving it in water to see how it goes!

I actually don't own hoya because I've been intimidated and worried I'd kill them. Most of my house is low to medium light except what is about to be my bedroom(decided to switch rooms with my baby lol). So, since I'm going to have the room with the most light, I think I'm going to get some! You've made me so excited.

I loved this video, just what I was looking for and I subscribed to your channel. Question: do Hoyas like to be root bounded? I am asking because I have a H. neocaledonica that I have been propagating for 2 months in water, and I think it is more than ready to be potted, but I am not sure what size of pot I need to put it in.

Hi there! I bet it would depend what type of medium you use. I use a really barky mix and have been pretty successful. I also air them out every couple days to get some fresh air into the container.

Great video. Has anyone had luck with growing roots from stems with no leaves on it? I know it's theoretically possible, but how'd one go about doing it?

If you have a long stem with a few different root points, like the heirloom hoya cuttings you showed, how do you go about potting it? Can the stem be cut into rooted sections and be planted as separate plants?

I love the container propigation method I just put some cuttings into a container about 5 days ago I havent checked on them yet but I also used spaghnam moss with a small layer of soil underneath. Im currently looking for a mitilda or serpins I think they are adorable. If you decide to sell a few cuttings let me know. Just message me on FB messenger. Have a great week.
