Oh, really? Was it in Europe? I have never seen anyone talk about getting it in a garden center. That is awesome. I also want the silver one. But I don't think I will find that in a garden center 🤣

Such a great series. I think I might try this Hoya because my house temperature is usually around 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Now to find one without me going broke!

Oh, I think it will do well in your conditions then! Yes, they can get a bit prices, especially the silver one. But they are so pretty! I only yesterday realized just how much I love mine. I always knew I liked it a lot, but yesterday was a revelation for me, haha :D Thank you for watching! :)

Have you ever tried propagating this hoya? I currently have a stem in water for about 3 weeks now and starting to see a little signs of possible roots wanting to come. Do you know how long this hoya takes to roots? Thank you. Kim

I did! I actually rooted this cutting myself. It was a two node cutting. I placed it in a small cup, in my hoya mix, sprayed the mix with water and then enclosed the whole thing between two big clear cups - my version of a small greenhouse haha. I think putting it in a bag or one of those fancy home propagation mini greenhouses would work as well. It took about a month for me to root in the hoya mix (until I was able to see roots coming out on the bottom). I would leave it in water now, just be a bit more patient :) My hoya caudata (big green leaf) was in water for months xD

Here in America Serbia is considered a great place to live

That is interesting to hear! When I lived there for a year, many people didn't know where it was. But then again, some people knew how to speak Serbian! Which shocked me as they didn't have any Serbian herritage, just an interest in the country.

Oh awesome! I would root it in a warmer spot and maybe keep it above 20 degrees Celsisu until it establishes but then you can move it to a slightly cooler spot. Mine always drops peduncles, it is too hot in my home.

@@BasiePlants have you seen the Hoya Haven video by Summer Rayne Oaks? That lady (forgot her name 😬) put some Hoya’s out on the balcony to get them to bloom. If you’re brave enough you could attempt that 😅

I am struggling with this hoya 😔 I suspect I may have overwatered it as the bottom leaves are yellowing... It's in a very well draining mix, pretty much like yours and I'm not one to overwatered normally but I don't know what else it could be.

Oh, I am sorry to hear that! You could unpot it and check the roots. It happens sometimes that if a plant needs a bit more moisture and you underwater it, the roots will die back. The next time you water, it is working with less roots and then it could lead to rot, even if you didn't water all that much. It happened to me with some Alocasias. What is your temperature? I think the best thing to do is check the roots :) Be very gentle too. :) It could also be due to the clone... Some are stronger than others. I hear some people have luck with this Hoya in semi hydroponics. I hope some of this will be helpful. I hope your H. polyneura recovers!

@@BasiePlants thank you for all the tips! Last week (when the yellowing started) was very hot around 30°C, so that may have been a factor. I had a look at the roots and although they look OK there's really not many of them, even for a hoya. 😕 I think I'll have to propagate one or two vines to ensure I don't lose the whole plant but I have terrible luck rooting hoya cuttings so I'm a bit nervous about doing so. Oh well, fingers crossed!
