I painted all my Christmas cards last year,think I got 4 out of A3 size paper.I was really pleased with the results.It's a great idea,lots of good practice too.Now about to look at more of your tuition,thank you.

I do, sometimes I just cut a little jewel out of a bad painting. The small part that really worked. I use deckle scissors, double stick tape and stick them to blank cards. They look great!

@@tillygirl56 That's a great idea. I'm a perfectionist, so I often am not satisfied with my art but I can usually find something within a painting that I am pleased with.

Just lovely!!! I loved all of the small paintings. I especially loved the Christmas snow scene. I learn much from your videos and really appreciate your sharing with all of us. I also have made cards ,but doing them the way you have all on one sheet of paper is a Great idea. Thanks. Now if I could learn to paint as good as you I'll be really happy!!!

I love thee. There are some easel and frame dies available for use in a manual die cutting machine. That might be a nice presentation too and they could be display by the receiver because of the easel.

I make lots of cards and find they are much appreciated. Only sometimes do I set out to paint a card. More often they are made from cropped sketches and experiments which would otherwise be consigned to the bin. I find it liberating to know that I'm not wasting expensive paper or paints, and as a last resort there are always the backs!

I should have added that in the video cropped sketches work well as cards. Watercolour paper being so very expensive we don't want to waste anything!

hey Patrick, thanks very much for the video again, i just made my first watercolor landscape after i paint the ocean scene with your tour,and just want to let you know your video is encourage me a lot with my own work, apart from i am learning new skill from them , after i see how you paint your picture i am less nervous about making mistakes or ruining my pictures, in the end of the day every mistake is a step toward to the best one :) thanks

Not only did I learn about making these little masterpieces, but also a couple of English words to think about.... and use to confuse other American English speakers: thrift (maybe I would know that if I lived near the sea...) and faff. Latter made me laff. 🙂

I live in Cornwall and have started to exhibit my work , I find I have to drop my prices at craft fairs etc . The art group I belong to exhibit our work once a year in a gallery where my painting sell at triple the price of the craft fairs so I know its not that my paintings are rubbish ..life is strange .. Maybe card making is the way to go for me ..

It's a bit of a shame when KZreadrs don't go back to answer questions from the past. I also wanted to know how he glued the pieces on/in. And l can't find aperture cards in our largest Canadian craft store.

Chris Alves It will be good to have you along Chris. The platform that is hosting my course seems pretty straight forward so far so accessing the course should be pretty plain sailing!

Can you show how you attache the painting and frame to the cardstock?

What paper do you use ?

I love where the edges are natural without the border. Do you varnish your cards to seal them?

I have a question about copyright. If we paint your lessons, are we allowed to sell them without infringing on your copyright? I know we can't paint your work exactly, but I want to be fair and honest.

jeff Lewis I bought the blank cards from a company in the Uk called craft creations. www.craftcreations.com/ then I just paint the pictures on ordinary watercolour paper and put inside the card. Hope that helps.

I just put PLG on my cards. I never stretch the paper for cards I don’t feel It’s necessary.

nothing more than daylight. The camera I use deals with the light very well. Cannon G7x mk2

Google can convert the pounds to the American money for you.Why not use Google and find out how much 5 or 9 or whatever pounds is in US dollars?

Under 5£ a card and you still make money with it? Those cards are really expensive here and paper is also not free... where do you get those cards with envelopes and plastic envelope cheap enough to make actual money with that? And the shop you sell through doesn't want any money?

9 quid? or 9 pounds? What is the difference... and how much is that in an American Money.... ? ... ;)

Quid is a slang for pound. Why keep asking how much pounds are in American Money? Jusst use Google. It will tell you exactly how much it is in 'American money'...

Are you selling all rights in the artwork?? Including the buyer's right to reproduce and sell unlimited copies?? Might want to check if you're automatically protected by copyright law, or need to say something more, or don't care. Otherwise your artwork might go commercial at some greeting card company without any compensation to you, the original artist.

If you think that I would buy product that interfere with my pleasure of looking FIRST of it, you got to be kidding. I hate commercials putting in my face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
