Great video Matt. I think the mindset of "focusing on what you can control" rather than stressing out on what you can't should really be applied to everything in life, while also accepting that you can't do always a perfect job/session, cause there are too many external factors. You shown up today, and you did your best. You should be proud of yourself cause you are doing more than the guy who gives up cause he can't be on time/get enough protein/get enough sleep/get a smooth squat plug insertion for the day. Shoot out to a three quarter Italian from a four quarter Italian friend with similar SBD ratios.

I'm on the long sets phase of my program (8-20 reps) and it feels like very little progress is made from training to training. Not a lot of weight, but a lot of fatigue. But I understand it is on the difficult sets that new strength grows. Trust the process. Thanks, Matt.

He’s doing a variation called a “Larsen Press”, it removes leg drive and focuses everything on the top half of your body, so all those muscles are worked more heavily and more upper body stability is required (take this overview with a grain of salt, I’m not hugely familiar with the variation, I know - or at least think I know lol - the basics of it, but some details could be incorrect)

This is sick, especially the last part. I feel that social media pushes this idea of "optimization," way too much when it comes to lifting and fitness in general. I think it's causing too many people to give up or be discouraged if they aren't optimizing everything in the holy trifecta (diet, recovery and training). Remember bros, 50%, 25%, hell even 1% of smth will always ALWAYS be better than 100% of nothing.
