Thx Phil, u gave me my last fix for 2023, I reckon Paul's doublets turned out stunning, the other I think a few very nice nice will come out of that set, at times I do use Obsidian when I can't get my hands on black potch, have not had any issues, so black glass should not be a problem iff it it scuffed up to hold the glue. Most of your doublets seemed to develop T shaped cracks, must be something to do with the pressure of the doublet process. Luckily it seemed to buff out on the wheel for most of them but I would be worried that the cracks may come back. Guess we will see after the final polish.
