Today I celebrated my 48th birthday. All 3 of my children surprised me on my lunchbreak along with my 11 month old grandson with a homemade dinner of backstraps and fresh cut fries. My wife of 26 yrs made me my favorite cake along with some chocolate custard ice cream. Then I get back to work and find this gem of a video! As I grow older I have learned to appreciate the little things more and more so to you Boss I say thank you. Your timing for this video was superb. It really put the icing on my birthday cake! What, no drawing of bubble foil, rubber cut outs???? Just kidding! What a true talent you have in your drawings! Husband & I visited Alaska (he was paid by his company for a month to work in & around Anchorage & beyond a bit) & it was so beautiful! Saw Beluga whales along the Seward highway, went to Chugach state park & a conservation park with moose sparring, bears playing in a huge pond. Saw ice floes & the water was sooooooooo cold! (Really liked Girdwood, AK). Had the best Halibut & enjoyed the Moose's Tooth pizza! Good times. Enjoyed your video.

Nice art work. Building my little off grid cabin in northern Wisconsin and just bought the woodstove print. Going to be a great touch to my creation. Thanks for sharing your work.

I so enjoyed seeing your beautiful works of art. You are very talented. My husband had a customer that he had done some favors for. One day he came to our house with a number of large wildlife paintings he had done. We had no idea he painted. They were beautiful. He asked my husband which one he wanted and then he asked me which one I liked. I chose one that was a forest scene with a deer drinking from a stream and you could see the deers reflection on the water. I really love this picture and he did such a wonderful job on it. We now live in a country decorated lodge-type home and it hangs on the wall by my dining room table. I think of him and his kindness every time I look at this picture. The frame is very unique also. It is sawn out of timber by hand and has the knots in the wood and a curved outer edge. I love animals and I am looking at the doves at our feeder as I send this. My son just finished his 1st term in Automotive Technology and he LOVES old cars and trucks. He has a 51 Willy Jeep here on the homestead and is dying to be able to restore it so I need to purchase Forgotten Treasures for his wall in his college room!! For me after just building our 2nd off-grid homestead and using the old cook stove I need to get myself the Country Comfort and our dream is to head to Alaska some day so going to get the mountain man the Wetland Wanderer. We’ve had a moose hanging out since last September when we were milling our lumber for the cabin. He does a lot of talking surrounding the cabin but has yet to show himself. :) Glad to see you’re promoting your art. You are so talented!! God bless my friends! 💕

In your art you can see the memories. Precious Cargo my favorite.

I ordered one of your prints a couple of weeks ago. It’s the trout print, A Cast in the Shadows. It will go great in our cabin. Our cabin is surrounded by trout ponds in the Georgia Mountains. *I just ordered Little Stinkers too. It will hang proudly in the Shit-ah! My wife is a Savanna College or Art Design grad. She used to draw too but hasn’t for many years. 😔

A man after my own heart. I too liked to paint. I did various paintings and one was of a white poodle and every curl was a single paint stroke. Those were the days. I did a circular saw blade. I painted a real old building. In the field I did an old Chevy. Pickup and it was being loaded with split wood. At the end of the day was a stump with my axe stuck in it and I'm looking at a stream that comes from afar and has various boulders in and along side of it blowing here and there in the wind was various wildflowers. My pictures were stolen along with my paints and brushes. It is sad how some people destroy the hearts of others. Your art is beautiful and it puts ones mind at ease. Good Luck with your pictures. I do remember your work... I have no idea where I may have seen it, likely an outdoor show. It shows some real talent JC... and given your other talents and outdoor skills, and homesteading expertise... it’s fantastic. Your videos, I’ve enjoyed for years, and the evolution of your journey has been good to see. You and Lori are authentic, organic, pioneering, and fun. You both see the best in situations, and together make a great team. Lest I forget the border collies, you really should consider drawing them! It would be all too fitting.

I picked up a few prints. Thanks for sharing. I have my grandma's cook stove. One day it will go in my canning kitchen which will be built out amongst my garden greenhouses, campsites and farm workshop. I have a set of scales like the kitty watching her weight and yes, I even have an outhouse!

These are amazing, Boss! Makes me want to sell my photographs of the Muskoka's Wildlife. The grouse drumming reminds me of the guy on our property. My wife calls him the soul sucker from the weird sound.

JC, I just went to look at the art work and saw the prices. You have GOT to charge more for your work, you really do. You are incredibly talented and you are giving it away, in my humble opinion.

It always amazes me that we all pretty much see the same things but only a few of us can transfer what we see to paper using simply our hands, eyes and a pencil. That's for sharing. Your talent is great and the stories behind the staging of each piece is as golden as each piece. Maybe there's a companion book in there with chosen pieces? It's always a pleasure boss. Hug the Misses and pet the pooches. I've taken a scene from a few of your videos and set up bird feeders in my little yard. My misses and I enjoy watching them play, splash, and sometimes fight over seed, suet and our little water feature. Make it great day Boss, I know you will. You gotta fan in Texas.

Your prints are absolutely wonderful. It is a shame that you don't have the interest to continue but I understand. I received advice from a guy who said to me, "If you are going to enjoy a pastime, don't become too good at it." So we are going to have to arrange for your "passing" if we want the value of the prints to increase. I think I will will invite you to my cabin and when you arrive, I will ask you, "Did anyone see you arrive?" And if you answer, "No." I will reply, "Good nobody is going to see you leave either!" You have some unique drawings Boss man! We are a bit similar in a way. I used to pencil portraits. Never for profit, only for enjoyment. I would give them to the people I drew or to family. Now, like you, I have the will to draw just not the eyes nor the want to!!! I went through my collection just last month and thought I should do something with it. I believe some people will be getting a surprise in the mail soon. You are right about the memories. I'm from the late 50s and our values are very similar. Great video! 👼

My mother was a fantastic artist and did a lot of black and white like this but also did some water color and different colored ink drawings. She absolutely loved Norman Rockwell. I am restoring my Grandfather’s old hunting camp and I purchased your “Little Stinkers” print which more than likely will be hung in the bathroom. LOL.
