I just got married at the end of April so May has been a whirlwind! We are only 25 so we are juggling being newlyweds, studying for school (we are an ultrasound program), going to clinicals, and staying on top of budgeting. juggling finances after marriage is tough but I feel like once my husband (we got married about 1 year ago) and I figured it out we have really been able to be really strong in our marriage and feel good about how we're communicating about money!

Love the mid month check in I feel it Definitely reminds me to hold myself accountable and check in myself. Since January I've been on a no spend journey not buying anything unless absolutely necessary. I found myself this month wanting to reward myself for doing so well and I have Sold enough things around my house to have $400 in spending money. Instead of just spending that I spent $1700. I proud of myself for the first time allowing myself to spend money which I never do and even after looking over my budget I still am thankful to be able to cover the full expense however I'm alittle upset I spent so much cause in the long run I feel it negates that fact I didn't spend anything the first 4 months of the year.

I've really enjoyed watching your journey and all the growth you've had both towards financial goals and in your money mindset. Thanks for another great chat!

May is going well for me! It was my husband and I's first year anniversary being married, I feel like I am seeing really strong growth on my KZread channel, the weather is changing and, i dont know, the vibe is just... good? haha love seasons like this! Its funny this video came up about checking in on your finances because I just checked my (old) credit card today and realized I have been getting recurring charges on it for something i no longer use, just re-iterates the importance of keeping a close pulse on your accounts. love these finance talks, our generation does not know enough! 💕

Money has been such a taboo subject … mom and dad never talking about it but it being important .. to don’t discuss your salary ever at work or risk firing .. to divorce when couples can’t find a middle ground .. so glad this is changing ..: we should all have a healthy relationship with money and be good stewards of it …Glenda

Do you have or have you thought about creating a corresponding blog or newsletter for this KZread channel so that your income can become more pass and less time intensive? I've been down a Chat GPT rabbit hole and saw the new automation tools that write blogs and create transcripts from videos and I'll be utilizing it in the future.

im working through what i now realize is workaholism. Eveeryone used to always comment on how busy i always was. Ive always been a go getter and sometimes worked multiple jobs out of necceisty, while also having passion projects and school. BUt now that I'm working full time, I'm questioning why I'm always stuffing my time with things. I appreciate you discussing it. Im still trying to figure out if I'm avoiding actually being present, mindful and sometimes bored!! its tough to work through. I think I'm afraid of time off, i don't know how people fill it when it isn't with work or chores!! its a journey.

I don’t want to sound ignorant as I can only imagine it must be hard but I wish I had this problem lol. I work my 40hrs a week and not a minute more. I’m such a home body, I love getting home from work and having a relaxing bath, laying down in an oversized sweater and watching Netflix. I want to be a workaholic and I can be at times, but I just also really value my free time and mental health. I only really grind when I need to. Why do you think you choose to always work and be busy? 🥺💗💗

I think I'm realizing its an avoidance tactic to actually be still and face my feelings/past trauma. i also think a part of it is being brainwashed into thinking my value comes from being "productive". Or feeling like if I'm not doing,im missing opportunities. A mix of a lot of stuff!! please enjoy your baths and down time for the both of us lol
