7:08 For anyone who thinks it's bad to us a drawing as a reference, please know that it's not. You're not tracing (which even that's okay if as long as you don't claim it as your own, or are just practicing) You are learning not only anatomy, but anatomy based on art which can help your brain figure out #1 how the body should be as you can pick up similarities from different artist (aka guidelines, like that shoulder pad idea, neck + shoulders tend to have a triangle shape over a rigid square, just ideas that tend to be carried from artist to artist). #2 It helps you know when to stylize your poses when needed and breaks it down a little better so it's more digestible for you brain. This is coming from someone who is really just starting their drawing journey: We all start somewhere, what works for one is may not work for another. I want to share something my professor told me when I felt awful about my progress "Every line you make is a step in the right direction. Any amount of progress is always better than giving up and making none."

That’s so true! Learning from stylized drawings is a much easier start than referencing from an overwhelmingly detailed human body haha 😂💚
This was amazing to watch, and gives me such a good idea of how to get those studies done. I really appreciate the references to drawing techniques that helped you.

Awww thank you so much!! 💚💚 If I made someone want to draw then I feel like I’ve accomplished my mission 💪
I started studying anatomy using Roberto Osti’s books and he teaches the method using geometrical figures (I don’t remember how is call) and when I started to practice it the next day (unconvinced because I thought I wasn’t learning what I wanted) I swear I was able to draw poses I’ve never done before! Good method! Great video! Thanks for doing it! ♥️

Love the video can u do a video on rendering to make the art more 3d with some depth
As soon as I started this video, I realized how much I missed drawing everyday and how easy it is to lose momentum. I fell into a trap of thinking I had to make finished works that I was proud of so if I didn’t have hours to commit to a piece each day (or even work through a David Finch video or something) I just did nothing. Though you’re working on a more concentrated 2-day study here, thanks for the reminder of how much fun it is just it is to see improvement through new methods and even fundamentals and gesture exercises.
@JyunaYT
5 ай бұрын
From my experience, if I keep working on a piece that I’m frustrated with, I’ll 80% of the time end up even more frustrated and quit drawing 😂 so I just move on to a next piece now haha I have waaaay too many unfinished pieces to count but that’s okay! Not loosing momentum and having fun is very important! Hope you have fun practicing and thanks for commenting!! 💚💚 (sorry for the late reply haha)
You Truly helped me a lot I want to Thank You So Much and I also watched David Finch I had the same issue and you helped … Thx 😁
It's very possible though I realized that bad guides/habits and bad practice will literally lengthen the mastery.(especially being demotivated 🤣) But with a good guide like this will shorten the process.( And motivation) Thank you for this video Cheers 🍻

i think anyone harping on the title “learning anatomy in [specifically one] day” is probably too zoned in on semantics. personally, i think this is an interesting experiment to see how dedicating a single day could improve your foundations, seeing that before-and-after progress in 24 hours is fun to observe.
@JyunaYT
4 ай бұрын
Hmmm since a couple commenters have shown their dislike towards the title, I’ve been thinking of changing it for a while now. but I’m just not too sure what should I change to without it sounding too long (I guess “Trying to learn anatomy in a day”? It’s the best I came up with🤔) thx for sharing your opinion!! I appreciate it ☺️💚🫶
@4amstorm
4 ай бұрын
@@JyunaYT that sounds like a good alternative! personally, i say screw what they think/say. many titles on youtube are purposefully misleading to get views and they don’t get bothered to change it, so why should you have to? and you shouldn’t be bullied into changing it for their sake, they’ll move on with their lives; and it’s your content, your video, you can and should be able to title it whatever you want. it’s a great video by the way, i really enjoyed it! 🫶♥️
@JyunaYT
4 ай бұрын
@4amstorm awww thanks a lot!!! I did feel kinda bad knowing that the title is not *exaclty* meant to be taken literally and could indeed mislead some people. But I think I could’ve fixed that if I just gave more context to my knowledge and experience with drawing before starting the challenge. Like how I’m not a complete beginner, etc. but I’m really glad this video still managed to inspire and make a lot of people have fun and want to draw again! Thank you 4amstorm!! 💚💚🫶

I don't understand comments like this, a day is a lot, depending of how many hours you dedicate, and those hours can be enough to learn soooooo much, enough to give you the basis for the next 6 months of practice, that doesn't mean you check the box and never learn anything else
