  @@JyunaYT did some studies and definitely feel happier adding lineart details later in the render, rather than what I used to do kin of like i had to abide by the rule of always colouring in the lines, it really allows me to be much more flexible with the process itself. So thanks for this freedom that u gave me, for now in studies of course it’s a very controlled environment for testing the render, but looking forward to try it on my next sketch to final piece process

  I thought of making a headcanon about how Magnifico got the power to grant wishes,I made a headcanon where Magnifico got this ability because he learned it from Starboy's parents and Starboy's parents were the king and queen of the Star Kingdom.When Magnifico has mastered his abilities, Magnifico destroys the Star Kingdom and kills the Starboy parents and then erases traces of history regarding the Star Kingdom

  one general rule of thumb i feel like is to identify the focus of an artwork when you are studying other artists. if the colors take all the focus then most likely they didn't spend too much on line art if at all. vice versa.

  Personally, I think a sticking point with character writing is that ALL characters are flawed characters - all personality traits are double edged swords that can help or hurt a character in equal measure, depending on environment and circumstances. Honest characters with integrity will have a hard time in places that reward cunning and lies. Cowardice and bravery are equally likely to get you killed depending on the circumstances. Even "caring too much" can be spun as a legitimate flaw if caring too much puts the main character or those around them in jeopardy. The problem with so called 'perfect characters' is not that they're actually perfect, but that the narrative TREATS them like they are. It's VERY easy to interpret Asha as a flawed character as written. She makes a blanket judgement of what would be best for the people of Rosas based on her personal beliefs, not actually taking into account what they want. Asha is self righteous, jumps to conclusions, and makes moral judgements with little context. The problem is that the story's narrative TREATS Asha as being completely in the right when the average audience member would not deem her to be. It's ANNOYING when a story ignores the objective context of the situation and tries to sell us a false narrative. It's poor writing. Asha could easily be a good character in a story that actually challenges her beliefs and showcased her flaws for character development. But the story doesn't do that because it decides to sell Asha to us as a perfect hero of the story and Magnifico as a villain who is unilaterally in the wrong.

  I really wish Disney would have gone down this path for star because asha is kind, caring, funny, joyful and dependable and star is the the same and if star was a boy I think asha and star boy would be a really cute couple

  I dunno half the attraction to me of a good artist is imagination.. to be able to render good art from a reference can be learnt NY most.. ut imagination and original ideas is rare .. so if your the whole package top notch.. I like Sam alot .. but to ne honest there no much original imagery from his art.. but his stylisation is good. I hope to see more original concepts from Sam in future

  I'm not sold on your use of dark browns, it's falling into the hole that the movie dug with bland colors. Saturated blues and golds, or light blues to mimic the blue fairy, something colorful and interesting. He just looks so plain. Asha definitely needed a star princess gown transformation. It's like disney forgot all its fun tropes just to shove a bunch of easter eggs in there.

  So I got this concept from a different KZreadr, but basically, their concept was That the villains' whole thing could have been that they tried to get things they wanted without putting any of the work in. They would also promise people that they could fulfill their desires with minimum effort through the use of magic. And the moral of the movie could have been about how it's much better and more fulfilling to achieve your dreams through hard work, then it is to have them given to you.

  Go with this. As we know a set of rules for some wish makers is no bringing the dead back to life, no forcing love and no more wishes. What if they had a child, the baby died and that no bringing dead back to life was a thing. What if the queen was informed she couldn’t have another child or risk losing her own life. So the two set out to find a way of bringing their child back to life…by using the wishes of others, what if the king found a way to use the other wishes as fuel or a catalyst to bring back the child. Food for thought.

  OH THANK YOUU!!! to find out where to put shadows and light, it's always nice to look at image references or get yourself a flashlight and then try it on yourself while looking at a mirror haha Color contrast is the luminosity difference between two or more color tones! the higher the difference, the bigger the contrast. (example: light blue and dark blue are very contrasting colors) (it's easier to see it if it's in black and white!) sorry for taking so long to reply haha Also I noticed your pfp, hxh is one of my favorite animes of all time! :D great taste hehe

  You're drawings are adorable! I love the way you drew Starboy And I actually like your takes! I think maybe with magnífico and his wife what could've happened is a genie situation where he grants wishes but can't bring people back from the dead so they get jealous and envious over time being able to grant others wishes while they can't wish their child back and so they start withdrawing from granting people's wishes and decide to end up holding back and not granting anyone's wishes entirely And since people would have been used to getting what they want getting their wishes granted all the time the kingdom got dependant on magnifico which would also double pressure on him along side his duties as a wish granter With the kingdoms dependence they'd end up boring of life and whatnot fearing risks fearing failure fearing that they won't succeed in the things they want cause they depend on magnificos wishes After the whole thing with magnífico that asha sees that they refuse to give people's wishes due to their built up twisted-ness after she's thrown out she feels bad helpless she knows what they're doing and is afraid of what to do maybe after she has like a pretty song about how wishes are a desire that we have the power of making come true and maybe she has a moment where she wishes upon a star for the wishes to be free so people can have a chance of making them come true Then Starboy appears from that wish I do like the concept of Starboy being mute makes for an interesting dynamic and we don't see mute characters much I know a good example of mute characters is sandman from rise of the guardians I think Starboy transforming or using stardust imagery would be cool for him to communicate but someone did point out the song with asha and magnifico together singing about wishes did have a duet/romantic vibe and was speculated as being starboy and ashas song I personally love either way Starboy being mute or speaking cause you can also have musical moments with him and have him express vocally some interesting things I definitely recommend you watching the deleted scenes they're really good But anyways Starboy and asha fight to free the wishes seeing asha stand up for it being inspired being risky going for it inspires the townfolk cause lemme tell ya seeing someone fight for their dreams for their desires is absolutely inspiring and beautiful And I think that for asha becoming the next queen after they free the wishes asha will inspire people to chase their wishes on their own she will encourage people that a wish no matter how big or small can be accomplished by oneself and desire to make it reality and it'd be sad but I think starboy should be sent back as a star now that ashas wish was granted a bit of a starcrossed love story and she'll always be reminded of him and what she fought for everytime she looks up into the sky at that star I am no writer nor do I make movies or anything like that! Just some ideas inspired by your concepts jyuna xD
