Thanks David. Let me recap what you said... 1. Rince each time before use 2. Skim the debris after each use 3. A cup of hydrogen peroxide weekly 4. Add a few drops of water stabilizer weekly 5. Oxidize the water daily for 1 hour 6. Keep it covered

You do this you should have crystal clear water at all times. Don’t do a cup of HP weekly unless needed. The ozone 1 hr daily should do a majority of the trick.

@@DavidMausJrHi. Thank you so much for your video. I am a newbie owner of the cold plunge tub and only user. I shower before use. I’m so frustrated with their lack a clear instructions for maintenance. Originally I thought I didn’t need any chemicals for it, but after it arrived, all the instructions said to buy the sirona products…so I did. I’d really prefer to only use the HP and stabilizer, but not sure if I need a cup every week? How do I know when I need them? Do you use test strips? Thank you!

Just a tip for anyone wanting to use ozone, make sure it's outside, in a garage, or in a very well ventilated area. I have an indoor DIY chest freezer plunge that I keep in my bedroom with UV instead of ozone. It works great and is much safer for indoor use!

Love you content Maybe you can answer my query. I’ve built a diy cold plunge and I’m wondering would it be better to filter my water through the canister filter set up. before it enters my water cooler to save hair and dirty getting into my chiller. I noticed that when I’m looking at your set up you pump the water into the chiller then out to the filter before flowing into the plunge

Great video! Having a little trouble with my water in my desert plunge, I have been using 1 cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide and I feel like my skin might be a little sensitive or just not used to it yet. I have been getting some small blisters on my hands. I bought the ozone to go with it, but currently have it set up in my basement and somewhat nervous about using it in the house around my family. I rinse off every time I use it and the water has been very clean and clear. I really enjoy having it in the house, just trying to dial in my water. Do you think the 1 cup is too much or too little? I have been plunging about 2-3 in the morning and about 1-2 min at night. Thanks for the awesome videos! Any recommendations would be sweet! Thanks ~ Chris

Have you dealt with tiny bugs getting in your plunges? I've got tons of gnats that continually go into my Ice Barrel 300. I keep the lid on whenever I'm not using it. I'm trying out some bug catcher/killer things right now, but curious if you've come across it. Normal skimmers don't get them out because they're too small. I've been using a cheese cloth filter.

Yo! Well timed. I just took delivery of my Ice Barrel 500. Waiting on the chiller from them due to ship in April from their last email. Would you by any change know if that has a self-contained ozone and/or filtration system in it? If not, I need to start exploring those options.

  • @JustinandElana

We have the 500. Ice barrels chiller does not have ozone. I got the ozone unit that David covered before and plumbed it in. I used a 3/4 inch T at the top where the water goes into the plunge. Plumed the water in one port of the T and then used a 5/16 compressing fitting with some bushings to running the ozone line straight in thru the T and into the barrel and turned down as soon as the line is in the barrel and down towards the bottom close to the drain port area. I run it on a timer 40 min at night. So far so good!

Hi Dave. I just picked up the All In Plunge. Can you tell me exactly what to use to keep my water Chrystal clean. So far I’ve been following what the plunge manufacturers have recommended, and been rinsing off prior to getting in. I’d rather do it the way your video has suggested because I prefer not to use their products. Can you specifically tell me the exact amounts of each of your products, the brand, and how often to do it. Should I use the test strips to see what the values of the water chemistry is, or no need to do it now? Thank you! Aloha Mike M. from Honolulu, Hawaii

  • @DavidMausJr

Hey Mike! Awesome! I have a link in this video for my suggested Cleaning Kit for all cold plunges, that should have everything I use. for you specifically: 1. Use a hose filter when filling (you probably already did that) 2. Rinse off EVERY TIME and Skim things floating around as soon as you see them. 3. Use a CUP of Hydrogen Peroxide, food grade is what I use. 4. Use 5 drops of the Water Stabilizer 5. Let the Plunge do its thing. It will automatically pump in a small amount of ozone regularly and your water should remain crystal clear. No need for additional chemicals yet. Let me know how that works and if you want to do a quick call i can do that through IG @dmausjr
