Hi Julia nice to hear from you again. I know this video came from about a year ago. But I just I'm getting caught up with some of your older ones . I always learn something from you. As long as I've been stampng, there's always something to learn. And I thank you for that. I keep forgetting to tell you… I love your little giggle.❤

You are so very welcome. I started this channel to try and encourge everyone to shop their stash and use up some supplies. It will never be a sales channel. I may recommend some products now and again, because I have found them useful. And I buy most of my stamps used so you probably have something similar in your collection already.

I have learned over the last year to really love the challenge scraps can present. However I can see how having a large pile would be overwhelming. Have you thought about how you can sort that pile into a more user friendly state of affairs? I think that's the key!!

Hi Tina - Good to hear from you again! I like to do this when I am just not sure how much material I actually have. Normally I would have just done a strip background. However I discovered how handy this is when making Christmas cards last year. And not it's a regular tool in my kit! Have a wonderful rest of your week and Come Back Soon!!

You make some great cards with the layered tags, Julia! I really like the diamond shaped squares on the cards too. I have some super ideas for using up my scraps now and I have tons …! You “wield” that Sharpie chisel tip really well - I would be afraid I would have a nicely finished card and then screw it up by messing up the black penned border. 🤭 Your coluring looks good too - what did you use to make the blue background around the cirtter? It’s perfect for the whimsival look of the image. I like to watch your videos in the evening - your calm voice/demeanor it just right for me to relax before lights out. What do you do with your cards, Julia - you must have lots. 😘❤️🇨🇦

Hi Mary Lynn - I liked the diamond shaped square cards too. They make great clean and simple cards. Trust me when I tell you I had a learning curve with that Sharpie and it wasn't always pretty. But it adds just a little shaddow to cards and continuity to those with a black outline around the sentiment. Isn't that the cutest little stamp for a Get Well Card? The blue is Copic B00 Frost Blue. I think I have 6 Copic markers and love them but they are just to expensive for me to get many. I send lots of cards for others to send, donate to our local nursing homes and our senior center. It can be a challenge getting them used but people seem to like them! Happy Crafting and we'll Talk Soon.

I don't think there is one Kathy. But, I will add it to my list of videos to make - Thank you! The base tag was a cut apart, then I put a punched tag with a 1 inch square foamed up, then the ribbon, flower and twine bow. These are great little embellishments to have on hand, or to use up some scrap paper.

Hi Julia, I am horrified that you threw that little piece of paper in the bin!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Your cards are simply stunning, and I love the co-ordinated colours. You would never think that any of these cards were made out of your scrap papers. I thought the first card you made was so cute, and you said that you coloured the stamped image. Well done you, as I think you did a fine job in the colouring. What did you use to colour in the image? I think you did really well with dimension to the little animal with shadows and highlights. I do similar things like that with watercolour, and I always leave a little white near the top of the image as if the sun is shining down. I have started to add the little piece of matching paper inside my cards just like you... 😊I had never seen that done prior to watching your videos. Have a blessed day, and as always happy crafting. 🥰☕🍰💖💝💖

I was amazed that I didn't force myself to just put that little strip on one of those cards 😂 I must have been getting tired. It had been a frustrating video the day before and I was happy to find my mojo when I got back this time! On the little image I colored with Copic markers and Spectrum Noir markers - alcohol. I find blending to be the challenge. I have the full set of Spectrum Noir, never never could afford a full set of Copics...PS - Studio Tour video comes out today just for you!!

@@SeniorSusieStamps Hi Julia... Ohhhh goodie, I would love to see your lovely craft studio and where you store all your crafting items. 🥰 It will be nice to see how functional it is, and to see if I can make improvements in my craft room. My craft room is what would be the third bedroom, but instead of the bed I have desks etc..., and then the inbuilt wardrobe or you would call it a closet is a lovely storage space. I have never had any luck what so ever with alcohol markers, and now I do not like them at all. I think I have spent enough money on them to find that they do not work for me. My first lot of alcohol markers were Spectrum Noir, but they ended up drying out. After that I purchased another cheaper set from a cheap store in town, and I struggled with them. Then only recently I purchased a huge set of really cheap alcohol based markers on eBay, and they were IMPOSSIBLE to use. It was very difficult to blend colours, and most of the colours were exactly the same!!! In my frustration I threw them all away, and have decided never to purchase any more. I think you do get what you pay for, and cheap alcohol markers are a waste of money. The Copic markers are very expensive aren't they? I think they are around 8 to 9 Aussie dollars each! Purchasing sets of them are in the hundreds!!! I have seen videos where ladies are using copic markers, and they blend beautifully, but at that price so they should!!! I have given up on alcohol markers in case you haven't already guessed, 🤣 and I shall stick to water colour or my water colour Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I am looking forward to your studio tour so I will see you then... Have a blessed day, love and hugs. Gloria 🥰💐💝

@@gloriaonesimus6244 Yes I would much rather pick up my fine point brush and paint with ink than use alcohol markers. I did splurge for the complete set of Spectrum Noir just so I would have the blending colors. They work well enough but Copics tip is ever so much better. I am just to frugal to buy the set of them!
