Not who was going to tell you this but because of a bug, Paralysis does not improve catch rates at ALL in gen 2.

its insane how underrated this channel is, it has the same quality of small ant, point crow, and other popular youtubes with like a 50th of the subs/views

It's insane to me that you caught all of the Outbreak Pokemon while they were at their lowest percentage chance. Using an outbreak for Remoraid would have let even the Old Road catch it. And for the other Pokemon they go up from around 1% encounter rate to around 40%.

Remoraid can be caught with a good rod in gold during a swarm. If you only have the number of the fisher who tells you about the swarm, you can swap daylight savings back and forth until he calls you and tells you about a swarm. It’s not too tedious and saves you going all the way to kanto

I had a customizable Pokemon White where I completed the Unova Pokedex I caught most of the Pokemon on every route, waterway, cave etc... Then I caught Brycen's Cryogonal, Marshal's Sawk & N's Reshiram. I did an in-game trade to get Cottonee/Whimsicott, so I had to have 2 Petili's. I added in Panpour, Pansage, Snivy, Tepig, Tornadus, Vullaby, Gothita, Meloetta, Victini, Keldeo, Archen, Zorua, Genesect. I traded Karrablast & Shelmet twice cause they have to be oppoyeach other for the evolution to happen then trade again to get the other back. And I traded twice to get Gigalith & Conkeldurr All that was left after beating the League/Team Plasma was to go to the Shrine to catch Landorus, the Giant Chasm to catch Kyurem, evolve Zwelious to Hydreigon & Larvesta to Volcarona And like the Nuzlocker community, I had tons of Rare Candies to level up each Pokemon to make completing the Dex faster. But I stayed within the Games level caps as to not be overleveled.

How did you go about exporting the diploma and editing it? Did you scan de printer version os screen captured it from the gb operator? I've just printed my diploma and you can barely see it, would love to do what you did but I just dont know how.

It’s been awhile, but I’m pretty sure I exported my rom / save from the gb operator and opened it using mgbc, then opened the printer window in mgbc and saved it as a png from there. If not mgbc, another popular gba emulator

Hooray I'm not the only one with a game boy printer diploma Teddiursa I bred rather than put up with in dark cave, and I ended up buying larvitar from the celadon game corner as it is much higher level than the ones in Mt Silver and requires less grinding Remoraid doesn't actually require the super rod. If you trigger a swarm of them it will appear with the Good Rod

yooo crazy seeing you here! I get your Pokemon stuff in my recommended every so often, loved the decoration and ribbon master vids!! I'm actually looking into a gameboy camera just so I have something else to print on this thing, it's a pretty fun novelty from the time period albeit a little limited haha. Yeeeeah, there was definitely a more optimal path I could've taken through this, and I've never even interacted with the swarm system at all so I was really confused when remoraid didn't show up after fishing for such a long time. Going in without researching too much probably made the overall experience a little more enjoyable, but some of the more tedious parts could've been less tedious with planning.

@@Chiken you can always do what I did and make a framed physical Pokedex by printing out your entries :)

Congratualations on this achievement! Now, if you'd do it in the virtual consoles you can transfer up all your Pokémon to Home, including Celebi if you choose Crystal.

Even funnier considering paralysis doesn't increase the catch rate in Gen 2.

You know something funny? I initially planned on it, then switched to just 100%ing Emerald overall, and I’m well over 300 hours into recording it with no end in sight LOL I’ve been doing it on and off for well over a year. Crazy how much content that game has.

Ive always been a dex completer but doing it in gen 2 seems SO AWFUL. Not just the running pokemon and bad catch mechanics, but the PC boxes needing manually switched just seem so annoying. COngrats on making it through!

No - while you can get Celebi through the VC release of Crystal, you can’t legitimately get it on a cartridge anymore.
