Just wanted you to know that because of you and Dr. Oz, I signed up for the course last year. I will complete my course work by May. I'm on Module 38. I had researched it and been following the to of you and it all just came together to help seal the decision for me to go for it. I don't regret it one bit. I'm in Mississippi and feel the challenge is going to be great, but I'm up for it.

Hi Sophie, I started following you a few weeks ago as my interest in the health coaching industry has increased. I had been going in a different direction with my career in the medical field but realized I would rather learn how to be a coach where I can do preventative work rather than after the disease has already taken over or the person is already dealing with various health issues. I really am on board with your philosophies and I have investigated IIN!! You mentioned the "Friends and Family" discount and also I would like to follow your 2-hour learning video as well. I'm not sure how much it costs these days, but YES you can do the training anywhere in the world! I say reach out, and let them know I sent you (I have a discounted rate for my community!).

Could you please do a video on AFPA and your board certification in holistic nutrition from there? Does AFPA also offer training in starting a business like IIN does, or is more centered on implementing plant based nutrition and exercise? Thanks Sophie

AFPA is more about nutrition. IIN is much broader approach. They actually really complement each other.

This video seems like exactly what I needed. I'm in the process of getting a degree in creative writing, but I don't feel fulfilled or like this is the best way I can contribute to the world. I've been thinking I really want to be a yoga teacher, and the option you've presented seems like a great way to take it one step further. Is this certification recognized internationally? The idea of travel and working with various businesses sounds appealing, but will businesses take you seriously? I'm sorry for such a skeptical question, but I've got that nagging voice in my head saying BA's, MA's, and PH.D.'s are the way to go and that a year isn't enough hard work to be successful.

Kimberly - I so understand everything you are saying. I think this is one way to go beyond yoga teacher. I also understand the nagging voice. Here's what could be a good idea - you could do IIN - it's a year (or you could do accelerated). Then you can get you health coach business going. Or IIN might inspire you or guide you do a speciality that you want to work on. Think of it as an excellent foundational course in the field of health and wellness, and if you want to then go on and get a degree in a certain area, you can do that while you are earning through health coaching. Just an idea.

Does it work in australia? Because health/life coach is not recognized not aproved and no registration as for being a practitioner

Yes it does. It works Internationally. It's the same in England. Although "health coach" isn't recognized officially as a licensed practitioner, you still have a certificate, which is highly respected globally. And thus you are allowed to practice as a health coach, just as you would be able to practice as a life coach. It's a good idea for you to get on the phone with the admissions team at IIN to discuss further.
