Hey that was perfect, especially the centering of the disc. When I watch the bike shop pro types they don't or can't just show the simple mechanics of brakes like these and I know the more I mess with them the worse they get... until now, thank you sir.

That's the same bike I have ! I've been having major issues with my brakes since I got it 3 months ago. Already had the bike shop fix them 3 times and they still keep coming loose . I've tried doing everything they showed me at the shop as well as every video on KZread and I still can't figure it out . I followed this video to a T and still can't get my back brake to work .

@@JordanBeachBodycoach I got a P6 too and my brakes are really bad, that's the weakness of our bikes, i'm trying to adjust mine as well and having an hard time. The best thing to do is to change the brakes setup completly for an hydrolic brake system before we die on this thing haha
Thank you! Never had the confidence to try and adjust discs before. Just finished both mine and my sons. Thank you! from Downunder

I definitely will try Step 2, because my brakes are very loose, so when I go a bit too fast and I need to brake on time, it won't, I need like 10 seconds and it's not handy. So I will try this tomorrow!, This is a very helpful information.

Do you have one of these for the Rattan 750 pro? Or is it pretty much the same?
@mikerochester
Жыл бұрын
I do not many mechanical disc brakes should be similar.
I have mechanical disc brakes on my e-bike. When I apply a constant force on the levers to stop the bike normally, the actual stopping force oscillates between hard and soft braking. My bike is brand new is this expected? Should I just wait for the problem to go away or is there something I can do about it?
@mikerochester
6 ай бұрын
New brakes normally need to be bedded in. I would just make sure that you're brake calipers are tightened down and that your rotors are not bent. More than that I would check with the local bike shop.
sometimes my rear brake makes a click sound when i pull down on it and after the brake completely stops working and i have to adjust it again. do you know any way to fix this issue?
@mikerochester
Ай бұрын
Wonder if your screw is stripped or coming loose somehow not really sure what's going on there probably best bet to take it into a bike shop in your area.
Is this method safe for my brakes? Because I'm worried that the cable would snap if tightened too much.
@mikerochester
9 ай бұрын
I would recommend you go to a bike shop and seek the help of a professional then.
will this stop the squeaking sound?
@mikerochester
Жыл бұрын
If the brakes are rubbing on the brake pads this should realign them. Squeaking sound can be coming from other stuff as well including oils on the rotor.
I’ve tried this several times and it’s not tightened.

I'm not sure I understand what's not working for you. You may need help from a bike shop.

Must be something else going on with it. I would check with a bike shop.
I've tried everything in every video and nothing works . My bike is still brand new . The back breaks just constantly give out and I can't figure out how to get em tight
@mikerochester
8 ай бұрын
I would recommend having your local bike shop check them out.
FYI You didn't put barrel connectors back to starting point. That's just the lock nut. You have to screw the ENTIRE (lock nut and barrel) all the way into the lever housing to add back all the slack removed over time with adjustment. The lock nut should ALWAYS be tight, regardless of where the barrel is, to keep it from moving unintentionally. Good video otherwise, but you definitely need to completely remove the barrel slack BEFORE pulling more cable through else you wont have any adjustment room in the field.
