You kept even against Stockfish while thinking you were playing someone your level. It really shows how the way you perceive your opponent affects your strength. I know you're probably not going to "unretire" anytime soon, but I'd like to see you play a tournament with as much confidence as you had in this game.

This video is 100% relatable. I was grinding to 1800 Rapid ELO, and then I got paired with a 1950 rated cheater. The cheter played a catalan. It never occurred to me that they were cheating... the position was very tense, but I still held on and defended well. Suddenly, they just resigned with 6 minutes left, on the 24th move. I checked their profile and it turns out that they got banned in the game against me. That cheater only lost TWO GAMES, one when they were at 700 elo, and one by me. THEY LITERALLY MADE THEIR ACCOUNT 7 HOURS BEFORE THEY PLAYED AGAINST ME, grinded from 700 to 2000 elo, then got banned. 😂😂😂

For what little it is worth Levy, this is the type of content I ADORE. Specifically, focusing on what you felt and thought at the time of the game and how your reasoning worked. This is the good stuff man, just letting us see how a player of your level thinks and reacts while playing chess in a format where you can also break it down in more depth for us, especially why you thought certain things (It really doesn't even matter how well you do in the games as long as you point out ideas that may have been better or if there was some computer move in a position that would've been killer).

yeah but I don't think its gonna happen not because he doesn't have the potential but he just isn't in a position to prepare for that anymore, managing every thing would be too hard for him, also as he mentioned he's just way too nervous playing stronger people than him

You know man, I'm going to be a 100 percent honest now. I used to be a little prejudiced towards you, thinking you're too mainstream and can't be good because of that. I was totally wrong, you're THE man to watch on youtube. Sad that I figured it out this late, now watching all your videos one after another. Keep up the good work.

on the move where they retreated the knight my thought process was this. With the rook guarding the 2nd rank black is now threatening to take the knight which wasn't possible before (white would have a perpetual at least). Now that the rook can block checks as a human I wouldn't be confident in my attack after sacrificing the knight.
