This is not a cheater, it's just the world fastest learner, who after making some mistakes and making them again reviewed their games, watched a few of your videos, looked at an opening course and did some tactic puzzles and then came back after some hours and put the lessons into practise.

I tried playing chess a bit, and got beaten like 80% of the time, but when I fell for the scholar's mate trap, I was confused so I just typed in chat "what" and my opponent actually replied and told me about that trap and to be careful of it, lol. Seemed like a nice dude.

This is why people who are beginners (like me) should put that when they're making the account. It started me at 400 with people my level. So not only did he resort to cheating but it started because he lied about his chess level to begin with.

I used cheating to learn plenty. You can definitely learn especially at that level, by seeing obvious things pointed out at you by the engine. Sure you can say do it after the game, but it's just easier to do it during the game. I got a lot better, but it can only take you so far since a lot of engine moves are not understandable by a person.

@@Balotovi Yeah and once he admitted that it is unethical to display usernames of players in an old guess the elo that was designed by Hikaru's team when Levy found out the usernames were going to be kept as a secret. He then proceeded to show all the usernames in his channel on his next guess the elo episodes.

Try playing longer games and make sure to analyse every move even if it be meaningless to do at higher levels, it is a healthy practice. Recite to yourself the advantages and disadvantages of every move, analyse your position all the time.

This really makes me want to make a channel documenting my climb out of 400-500 Elo. Learning the game correctly takes so much time I hadn’t realized. It doesn’t just click. You really need to learn all the deep skills and tactics to play this game at a higher level. I want to illustrate that with proper training, you can and will get better. Why is this guy's strategy to prepare your knight for a fork and then never follow though with it when you have the opportunity?
This almost makes me feel bad for the cheater that I was hoping when we get to the part of the video where they start cheating to stop watching them suffer

What's so unfortunate is that while failing to the queen h5 trap multiple times is irritating, instead of allowing themselves to learn, they just gave up and cheated. There have been so many times I've done something stupid and missed an obvious bait, lost my queen stupidly or thrown the game on accident but now those are things I can learn from, not cheat because of.

I’ve made that exact queen blunder to the bishop at 5:30, but with the e4 bishop on c4. This allows Bf7+ defended by the knight, followed by Kd7, Be6+, Kd6, then Nf7 winning the queen back with a fork, Kxe6, Nxd8+, Kf6, Kxd1 and the game is even

levi is a brilliant youtuber and story teller . idk if that applies to a lot of people but you can't get bored in the middle of the video . or skip so much og the video . he intentionally puts weird jokes and puns and gestures in the not so interesting parts of the video just so you stay focused . not to mention coming up with funny lines on the spot.
