    I've got a Rev-Up and I drive hard I'm tryna be gentler... I don't feel like I am gonna boost - if anything I'd do an LS/RB/2J swap if I had a house. It's good to know there's a way to check engine health.

    taking the fuel pump fuse is not needed, you can just crank it at WOT and that disables the injectors, its called clear flood mode. Just though this would help some people save time.

    @Joe Vazquez I learned for the timing cover all you need is mothers aluminum polish, Powercone or ball polisher and some microfiber towels. For the plenum to clean it up same method. I'm nervous to really take the casting finish of the plenum since I'm not experienced enough to sand it correctly for the full polish finish.

    3/10/24 just seen ur video Joe, thnx for putting it out there. I am not a mechanic or anything, but I have a 2009 fx35 with over 200 thou miles, and i was wondering, should i get the cylinders tested,?/,,, I want to keep this vehicle because i just love them. it runs great still now, but it does start to feel sluggish. If the test is reading positive (base on what you did here), do u think i should still keep it? Any reply will be appreciated. thnx.

    Vq35de are high compression engines which is why they say open the throttle

  • @JoeVazquez

    @JoeVazquez

    2 жыл бұрын

    It’s actually to allow more air into the cylinder so you get higher numbers during the compression stroke, high compression doesn’t matter in this part, it’s just maximizing the breathing with the throttle valve open.

    so i have a 07 G35x with 70k on it, I notice sometimes that it has the slightest engine almost "gurgling" feeling that really never lasts and is only barely noticeable and didn't know if it's a thing or what. I also have my coolant overflow tank draining on passenger side (i think, jiffy lube also said it was that side but couldn't locate it) I saw one of your videos posted about the metal coolant bleeder valve thing and honestly think that might be it. Am I screwed? The engine runs incredibly strong and has no issues, no overheat, but just a little worried bc its an 07 and that ever so slight gurgling thing. Thanks again for your videos Joe, I've learned a lot from you
