Big respect to Chris Bosh. He took the blunt end of the criticism whenever the Heat had struggles. He adjusted well to the third option and stepped up when Bron or Wade is out. He made one hell of a play against the Spurs in the closing seconds of game 6. The O rebound, the assist to ray and the block on a dangerous Danny Green to steal game 6.

Man, the Heatles were something else. While I absolutely hated them throughout my college years back in the day, it was truly something special to witness. Having such a villainous team just made everything that much more intense. It’s crazy how much the league changed since they broke up after 2014. The league is almost unrecognizable despite it being only 8 years since then.

8 years is a long time, man. For reference, Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker were seen as “The Future” around that time. Since then, Jabari’s Parkers knees have exploded and taken him out of the league while Wiggins had to reinvent himself.

I’m an Mavs fan. I don’t necessarily like Lebron or the heat or Wade. But the 2011-2014 Heatles made the NBA the most exciting that it has ever been. That is the NBA best era.

Actually, its pretty difficult for brand new teammates to have the type of chemistry the 2011 Heat had and reach the NBA Finals in their first year together. Thats unheard of. Plus an excellent coaching staff starting with Erik Spoelstra which is Pat Rileys hand picked guy.

The most memorable thing for me about the Heatles era was an interview with DWade when he said that during that time when they enter the building there are teams who are really intimidated by them he can clearly feel it way before the start of the game. It's like the young teams are afraid to play them. Especially during that 27 game run.

4 Finals in a row? Pretty good run, hard fought battles but some really good luck. Their 11-12 and 12-13 seasons were incredible. That Ray Allen 3 PT Shot was one of the most amazing in NBA History.

@@justthisguy1948 not really taking into account the 2 losses were preventable, Dirk literally beat 3 Top 10 Players of All Time in 1 Postseason run, and swept Kobe’s back to back team. But the spurs one of the worst things that could’ve happened… Bosh and Wade’s decline started. If Wade and Bosh performed like it was 2011/2012 then it would’ve been light out. Wasn’t a failure honestly, Wade and Bosh’s contending days were gone, and Lebron’s definitely weren’t

One of the most interesting things to me is how they initially viewed and treated Spoelstra. Erik Spoelstra went from being disrespected and disregarded as a pushover coach who's never played in the NBA. To one of the most respected coaches of this era and easily one of the greatest coaches of today's era. Also, many people use 2020 playoffs with an asterisk. But think about it. Only the toughest players, coaches, and staff were able to pull through the 2020 bubble. It really required people to sacrifice comfort and routine, and therefor the mentally strongest teams, not the most talented teams are who made it. And Coach Spoel was able to take a maybe at best second round or ECF team if they're lucky and bring them to the finals. And of course him having Jimmy Butler is a huge W as well. All I'm saying is this man isn't talked about as much for how great of a coach he is.

Also throw in the fact that Spoelstra was actually a good coach before James and Bosh came in 2011. He took a really horrid Heat team roster to the playoffs in his first two seasons since he replaced Pat Riley after the 2008 season.

And coaching is a huuge part of that more than people would like to admit. Also, I hate to b one of those guys, but for example. Bron dominated that game 6 versus the Spurs, but if it weren't for Bosh and Ray, well... u know what would've happened.

The massive underdog Bulls gave it their best. LeBron blocked D-Rose to secure the series in 5. But the Bulls should have won Game 5 to extend the series to 6, James and Wade said no and they took over the game.

Sometimes it's easy to forget how versatile a defender LeBron was because almost no one could stay in front of Rose and LeBron basically locked him up that series when he was on him. LeBron was also incredibly clutch that series, he crapped the bed against Dallas then was clutch the next two years, it was an amazing run.

If you're talking about the 2011 mavs, you have to mention their series with portland. Aside from the heat, that was their toughest series all playoffs. It even gave us Brandon Roy's last signature game.

People forgot that the Mavericks for the past three seasons before is a Top 3 or 4 Western Conference team in the regular season and had never made it back to the Finals since 2006 due to early Playoff exits. And who will not forget about that 67-15 Dallas Mavericks being bounced by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2007 Playoffs who happened to be Dirk Nowitzki's MVP Season?

I never forget how they mocked Dirk for being sick and how he humbled them by taking the ring. That was definitely a learning experience for them to grow up. The next season, they were all about business.

Coach Erik is still with the Heat as the head coach until now and went to the Finals 5x with the 2-3 record and his last finals appearance, he faced LeBron and the Lakers in 2020 Speaking of Bron, he's the only member of the Heat big 3 still active and won 2 more after with Cleveland and the Lakers seperately. Honestly at that time I was hoping for a Final showdown between the Heat and Lakers during those 4 years but it didn't happen.

Love him or hate him you gotta respect his composure when he's back to Cleveland for the first time after joining South Beach. Ben Simmon and many young players probably wouldn't survive that kind of hostile environment. Game really won't be the same after he retire

Idk if there’s many (if any) teams in all of sports history with more pressure than this Heat team. It was a circus of criticism and heroics. Legendary playoff runs. Stunningly exciting playoff basketball. Legacies on the line. Names were solidified in history books during this time. Dirk doesn’t get the love he deserves if not being associated with beating this team. Specifically this run makes Dirk have a case for like top 25 all time. Ray Allen is the most clutch 3 point shooter of all time STILL bc of that shot. If not for that shot Curry takes that title for most clutch EASILY. At least now it’s still a debate. When Wade and Bron lost Bosh to injury and drop 70 on Indy it was a statement to the entire league. That team almost broke the Showtime Lakers record for winning streaks. There’s so much history and so many narratives connected to them. So many Hall of fame guys in that Heat Spurs rivalry. So many mvp caliber players etching their names in the books all time. The only thing we didn’t get to see was Kobe and Lebron/Wade meet in the finals. Tbh it prob works out in Kobe’s favor that this didn’t happen 😅

I started watching the NBA just a bit too late for these guys, as I didn't know the Heat and their players until 2014, and they were already crumbling at that point. If it wasn't for D-Wade having old man knees, they may have won it again in 2014.

You can’t lose that 2011 finals, that way that loss in 2014 doesn’t look as bad because it would have been their first loss in the finals, as well winning 3 championships straight. @@josephj1973 nah. She’s a great wife and watches football with me but I can barely watch basketball anymore either. I love the game but 3’s every 17 seconds isn’t exciting like watching lebron, wade and bosh light them up without having to shoot many 3s at all.

The most fun to watch team ever by far. Those highlights from the big3 are just something else.

I was there for that 27 game winning streak. Heat vs Blazers it was another no contest win.

In 2014 if they would've just added more depth they would've been fine

Wade had lost a step in 2014 but lebron cant be mad at him for not performing because wade balled out in the 2011 finals & got no help at all

They easily should have won all four finals they went to. Underachievers for sure despite their immense success.

One of the top best big 3 of all-time.

I remember the games when bron & wade would sit out & let the offense run through Bosh 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Houston and Miami were my default teams. Wade became one of my favs. Then I was hyped when they got Shaq even if it was short lived. When James came to the team, it was just unreal. I was pretty shocked. I was losing interest in keeping up with sports but that Big 2 was interesting to witness. The Love/hate from the fans made it electrifying.

seeing all these teams that have tried to build super teams, it makes there 4 year run that much more impressive, kyrie Durant and harden would’ve loved 2 out of 4

Remember if Melo didn’t resign with the Knicks then it’ll be Melo, LeBron, and Wade instead of Bosh

i think melo is not a good fit. hes too ball dominant.

This Heat team was very entertaining to watch especially in the 2012 playoffs after losing in the finals the year before (I was glad Dallas won it in 2011, Dirk deserved a ring) and needing to overcome a 3-2 deficit against rivals Boston in the ECF in 2012. They took care of OKC and then split 2 NBA finals meetings with San Antonio in 2013 and 2014, were lucky to win it in 2013 thanks to Ray Allen's crazy clutch 3 pointer. LeBron James may have been the leading scorer but Chris Bosh was probably the most important player on this Heat team. He did some amazing things when it mattered, offensive rebound to the mentioned Ray Allen 3 pointer and the game saving block on Danny Green. Bosh also made some great game winners, especially the one in San Antonio during the regular season.

I was in San Antonio in 2014 when they won the game w/ no air conditioning. walking around downtown seeing all the Spurs flags n shit the next day was really cool.

Remember also the ageing spurs and mav's with dirk.

If Wade was 25 when LeBron joined the Miami heat, they could’ve won 4-5 championships

@@gray6414 right like I never understood that yea I get injuries was a big deal but like him and melo and Bosh etc are just a few to name where you can tell their not at their best no more just from a year before. That last year with lebron wade and bosh man were bosh and wade a step behind that whole finals it’s like they got tired from being in 4 finals back to back but lebrkn literally had one of his best finals at that moment stats wise he was on fire literally carrying them. I never understood how wade and bosh had a huge step off from 2011 to 2014. Especially bosh at that point he wasn’t even a top 20 player in the nba tbh. People who don’t remember those times and just see the team wade bosh lebron or allen they see the names but not the context . Only lebrkn was at his prime and playing elite level at that time. After that you can tell how much lebron was holding that team together after he left they struggled barely making the playoffs year after year with bish and wade until bosh got hurt and didn’t come back. Man it’s crazy how lebrkn does that much impact on 1 team went to the cavs who were the worst team and took them to the finals. Going to the finals 8 straight years is frazy and going 9 out of 10 years man it’s unbelievable. All those miles and he’s still playing great rn. I wish lebron started his career around the same time as Luka tatum booker giannis morant Zion etc all the young stars rn that people can actually watch game in n game out yearly playoffs because people forgot how good lebron was now we are watching from his end but people forget those first 7 years with the cavs they were in the playoffs every year and he was in mvp he took the worst team to the finals! He scored the last 24 pts in the playoffs to beat the defending champs pistons ! Like if he played rn nightly people would actually appreciate him and Jordan and Kobe way more. Seeing all these highlights every day imagine lebrons and Kobe’s man. Like we forget all their plays because it’s been so much you have to break it down but you can literally type in lebron 40 pts and so many games will pop up. Like we really forget man and I hate that if he played rn we would literally see the difference between him and all these other young stars. Him playing at a high level at the age of 38 should tell ppl how much you should appreciate him before he’s gone like Kobe and this is all coming from a warriors fan who loves curry and went through the 3-1 loss and those 4 finals wars man. I hated that kd came to the team man cuz him at okc was literally more competitive that 2016 year was amazing but when he joined it wasn’t fun cuz we won every game now basketball is at its highest you don’t know who’s going to win every year. The fact that lebrkn just made it to the finals every year and guys like harden can’t just shows

@@TellenJones not sure about the decline since it was his 2nd best playoff scoring of his career, he surely changed his game to the post more, and lbj looks like he doesn’t want to take the throne away from wade and took a step back letting wade run his team!

Brown joined Miami when I was in Grade 12, then first 3/4 of my college years. Dude went back to Cavs then won another chip just when I was graduating. Bron had his best yr during my college yr. I just remember I was rooting for pacers to take down heat but no. Lol

Miami could’ve won 6 championships and went to a couple more.

People say lebron is soft but more like his teammates are soft during his career. Wade old legs, bosh disease and AD/kyrie glass man. He dont have a proper superstar to ball hard the whole season.

He probably would have stayed if he had won 14. I remember being devastated as a kid who was a Miami Heat fan from overseas that the year I move to Miami Lebron decided to leave.
