He'd be deadly in 2020 nba. A big who has range, handles and pass like a perimeter. He's almost a wing player. Surprise he didn't get in 04 usa olympic since many superstars opted out he'd be perfect. His leadership and locker room motivation is good. Him and duncan would be perfect sportsmanship model

Great player. Hard worker, versatile, good leader, great character. And could have played in any era. If Cleveland would have got him 2 years earlier..
This dude was legit, a true pioneer to the stretch 4's we have now days. Always traded for him in 2k.
@TheIcemanthomas
Жыл бұрын
Not really a pioneer as there were a decent amount of stretch 4s before him. But he was definitely one of the s for it
He was really good. Got overshadowed because he was the better college player but then his college teammate Vince Carter ended up being the more dynamic pro. Jamison wasn’t flashy but he was a great player who put up great numbers and had good longevity.
He had a distinct style. Very quick deceptive releases around the rim. Accurate. Lots of finesse and sneaky quickness. His 51 point game Warriors Vs. Shaq/Kobe Lakers overtime win is his career highlight game IMO

He scored 50 on Shaq? That's impressive.
I have him on my all-time list of unique players. He was also very good at finding cutting lanes, making awkward looking shots against bigger or more athletic bigs, and he was a good offensive rebounder.
I'm also thinking about Antoine Walker, Michael Finley, Jerry Stackhouse, Larry Hughes, Glenn Robinson, Michael Redd, Elton Brand, Eddie Jones, Sam Cassell, Antoine McDyess, Shawn Marion, Caron Butler, Al Harrington. Players in the 00s nobody ever talking about

He was a super stud at UNC. Loved watching his game. So smooth and effortless.
I'm so glad I found this channel. These guys are never talked about once they retire but they deserve their due. I look forward to you continuing the series! My suggestions (if you haven't already made videos on them) Andrei Kirilenko Michael Redd Jermaine O'Neal Keith Van Horn Rod Strickland

Thanks for the support man! I’ve made videos on ak and redd (although the redd videos old and pretty low quality) if you wanna check them out!
Watching him play as a kid was always a treat no lie. Back-to-back 50 point games, one of the first stretch 4’s, man Brody was a beats
He and Vince under Bill Guthridge was unbelievable to watch, especially against DUKE.
I live near Antawn Jamison. I actually ran into him at Bojangles once. Extremely humble and nice guy. Got into basketball at the tail end of his career, never realized how dominant he was in college. Definitely forgotten because his stats don’t lie.

Great video. He's definitely in the Hall of Very Good. I was thinking of other people you could look at during this era; I know he's still playing but Paul Millsap, Damon Stoudamire, Tashaun Prince, LaMarcus Aldridge (again, still playing), Elton Brand.

Yep! Also Eddie House, Jamal Crawford, Rex Chapman, Cedric Ceballos, and Toni Kukoc. Sorry if these have been done already new to the channel!
Antawn was the conplete package on offense. A threat inside and out
Antawn was my favorite player on that Wizards team with Arenas and Butler. Though he wasn’t good defensively, his offensive game was unique. I always tried to replicate those unorthodox flip shots/tear drops.
NO ONE has better hands than Antawn. Every loose ball and entry pass stuck to his hands like no other.
Channel is quality pal! Keep it up
I’m really glad I found your channel new subscriber right here

LeBron did him dirty when AJ was willing to stay in Cleveland for 4 to 5 years if I remember correctly only because he wanted to play with LeBron. Anyway he is am underrated player fa real.
First time I saw Jamison, it was a local news segment before the start of his senior year of highschool. He was doing windmill dunks on a 12 foot goal just to show off his vertical.
The man was snubbed many seasons. During his whole career he was only an All-Star twice.
underrated player and video

Jabari Smith Jr reminds me of Antawn Jamison
Used to be one of my favs definitely underrated
He was one of those guys like an Eddie Jones, or Derozan who is an all star, but a low level all star. He was a VERY good player, but not a difference maker that you can build your team around. He would have made a great Robin to a Batman ala Pau Gasol.
@holdmyweight3597
10 ай бұрын
Disrespect to Derozan tbh. He at least made made the ECF as the #1 option and is a 6x allstar/3x All-NBA. Jamison as the #1 guy on the Warriors wasn’t sniffing the playoffs. He was better suited as the 2nd or 3rd option on the Wizards
Hey I really like your channel bro
UNDERRATED
He was my favorite college player as soon as I watched him play.
I remember him for being the best player on that terrible Cavs team after Lebron left for Miami
My man put a clip of Ed Cota (UNC pg) in here. That’s an instant sub from me

Those flip shot/tear drops were so unique at his size
I always thought Vince becoming a superstar sorta made Antawn seem non exsistent.
Very smooth game.
He was no joke
Pffff.. Antawn is a legend out here in Warriors land. He was the only excitement on the dubs before Richardson came in
Shoulda been in the USA team for Olympics and should be in HOF , underated as hell, was an awsome hall of fame worthy player
I remember him on the cavs
would have been an absolute monster in todays game; would have developed a 3 shot from the beginning. Walked by him at the Whole Foods in Venice back when he was on Lakers
That UNC squad was so fun to watch.
GOAT
I always putted him to my All-Star roster, alongside Tim Duncan, Vince Carter, Allen Iverson and Kevin Garnett.
He would’ve been much more appreciated in todays game
Anybody here from the Vince Carter Knuckleheads episode?
Didn’t know my friends dad this good
the most memorable when he had a Scoring duel with the Late great Kobe Bryant when he scored 51 points and Kobe answered back with 51 points!🏀
I’ve met him before I was in his camp
Need a episode about Andris Biedrins from Golden State
You forgot about the part where his family moved to Charlotte, Nortg Carolina. Providence High School is in Charlotte.

Only thing I really see wrong with this video, you should have talked about him playing with Kobe on the Lakers
2:22 Vince Carter
That Antawn, arenas , and Larry Hughes trio was basically the warriors lol
He got lost in the sauce. 00s was the peak of PF...Duncan, KG, Dirk, Booz, Sheed, Stat, CWeb
Jamison had usually scored, and was on his way back to play defense, before you even knew he had the ball.
I swear he was Jordan esque just wasn't as good but he can play was one of my faves
I'm 45, so I of course remember him, no problem...I wss never really a UNC fan, but I always liked Jamison....and, because of my anti-UNC bias (lol), it took me years, IN THE NBA, to believe that Carter was better than Jamison... even when it wss obvious, I wss like "nah, its coming. Jamison gonna put it alllll together, STILL, watch..." Then Carter went to (then) my Nets, and I think I forgot who this "Antoine Jammersons" was
He should've been a Small Forward. I don't think I saw any clips of him on the block. He would cut or spread from the wing, and he's not big or bulky, sounds like a small forward forced to play the 4 because of undersized high school and college teams (pretty obvious), and the Warriors who were undersized.
