UNC Slamfest - Dunk highlights from games during the 94-95 season and 97-98 season.
Спорт
This is a raw collection of dunks from games during the 1994/95 and 1997/98 seasons. The clips were copied from one old VHS player to another VHS player, which took hours of watching, rewinding, etc. before being converted into an MP4. Some games deteriorated over time and were unable to be used in this highlight reel but I tried to grab as many as I could to showcase just how athletic and entertaining these Tar Heel teams were. A few plays are a bit shaky but overall I am pleased with how the final product turned out. The 94-95 and 97-98 teams provided college basketball with 2 of the most exciting teams in college basketball history, in my opinion. Hope you enjoy it. (*Sheed's first 3 dunks were from his freshman season and Carter's first 2 dunks were from his freshman season as well.)

Had Stackhouse and Wallace stayed to play with Vince Carter and Jamison in would've easily been the best team in college ever

Cota is the only Tar Heel with over 1,000 career assists..and only the second overall along with Bobby Hurley.
These ESPN games and Dicky V, Bill Raftery bring back memories of my teen years. If Vitale did the game, it was one of the biggest showdowns that week. After the game, it was Sports Center for all the highlights!…..Stackhouse had the finesse and Wallace had the power. They were the UNC high flyers of the 90’s before Vince Carter, Julius Peppers etc;…..#GOODMEMORIES
All I can say is……. THANK YOU!!!!! This is the basketball I love and miss.

Absolutely. In many ways, the 90s were great to us. All these guys were in it to win it. Now? Less so.
McInnis was a top notch set up man.. great awareness & anticipation
What a great time growing up and watchin them play. Major talent on that squad
Tim Brant: Wojo for three...airball. Carter's hurt...the alley-oop! He's not hurtin' that bad! Billy Packer: Well, he was hurt so much that he only got about twelve feet in the air. LOL
Imagine Stackhouse, Wallace, Carter and Jamison all on the same North Carolina team. They would have probably been undefeated.
I used to love the screams by Wallace every time he dunked 😅.

Imagine the team the could of have it would be the best team ever assembled a starting lineup of Ed Cota Jerry Stackhouse Vince Carter Antawn Jamison and Rasheed Wallace. Shammond Williams coming off the bench.

The you can't stop me mentality these guys had was ridiculous.
This was one of those teams where you ask “how did they not win a national championship?” A couple more examples being the John wall and near perfect season Kentucky teams.
13:21 RIP Okulaja. One of my all-time favorites.
I'm sitting here watching this with a big smile on my face! Loved that team! It was a hip pointer away from beating Arkansas in '95 and going on to the title game.
This is what Heaven will be like.
Vince Carter was unreal something outta video game ❤
This is probably the best UNC dunk compilation on KZread. Thanks for posting! - from a Georgia Tech fan. (But I love 90s ACC basketball)
94-98 is quite possibly the most fun I've ever had watching UNC basketball.
No other college can top all the slam bam jams Carolina has accumulated over the years. Amazing !!!!!!
I was a student reporter and went to all these games and then got to go into the locker room to do post game..Jerry Stackhouse was the nicest, coolest guy to interview…he even recognized me when I waited tables all the way in Durham.. he would stop what he was doing , stand up and walk towards me to shake my hand and say hi.. Amazing! Rasheed… meh he counted ducks on his tie (i have the video to prove it) and got into cake food fights at the same restaurant.
Damn, Sheed!
It is not fair to the other players for washing Wallace to be able to dump so easy over them Washing Wallace had a monsterous oh great talent on the basketball court And we are so glad that he did win him a NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons And yes they had to beat about ten Hall of famers to win the championship
I have been blessed to be a Heels fan…

Nobody to this day. Is faster off their feet then Rasheed Wallace!!!!! NOBODY
I remember Sheed and Stackhouse when they played for UNC... Them Dudes were Monsters.!!!
With so much talent on the roster, it’s surprising one of these teams didn’t win a championship.

Freshman year for Stackhouse, Wallace and McInnis, they didn’t get along with the upperclassmen. Too much bitching about playing time and whatnot. No team chemistry. The next year without those four seniors from the year before they didn’t have enough depth.
4:52 Stackhouse dunking on Virginia Tech may be the sickest thing I've ever seen.
Ed Cota was an underrated college point guard.
Sheed!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite player beside Tyler
The Stackhouse/Wallace Tar Heels remind me of the Douglas/Seikaly/Thompson/Coleman Syracuse team from 86-87.
This is why UNC is the most loved in nc
Stack and sheed were probably the best 3,4 in the acc
stackhouse/wallace was a fun team
College basketball ain't like this no more....If only Sheed,Stack, Vince, and Twan could have played together for just a year ....
That double back screen for lobs / alleys was beautiful… has Bacot ever caught one ? Sheed was so skilled & could sprint 94 feet like a deer
I was spoke Bill Guthridge years ago and he told me that Rasheed was the greatest player he’d ever seen at Carolina
Vince are you ready to fly.
I enjoyed this type of basketball
Sheed could’ve gone down as a top 3 power forward ever… 🤦🏿 🤦🏿 🤦🏿

At least he won a ring vs Kobe and Shaq. But yeah he should have been a superstar.
Sheed and carter were amazing
How the fuck did we not win the ship for 2 years
Sheed is my favorite player behind Jordan and Hansbrough
Rasheed, was the most...****FEROCIOUS****slammer, in the HISTORY...of mens college basketball. Not even Vince, Zion, Dominique, Jordan or anyone else...could match Rasheeds, force...! People forget, that Rasheed was 6' 11"...!!! He had the hops & finess though, of someone 6' 6"...!!! He was UNSTOPPABLE...& had the ATTITUDE, to match...! He was like, Russell Westbrook...with 8 more inches of height...! Truly...a MONSTER...on the court, was Rasheed Wallace....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Made my day
Sheed was acting a fool.... They couldn't do chyte with him.😂
Wow I didn't watch this team back then
Rasheed was a 🐺
You play best when all your players (whom you gave a full scholarship to play) are in the game. When players decide their monetary goals are more important than their team and they sit out playing in the bowl, you lose.
How the fickle did we not win 2 years in a row!!!!! Nasty
UNC got some alumnus....
this is how a big supposed to play and run the floor!! Wembyana need to learn how to be like this and all the rest of the bigs!!
Good ole days, Saturday Raycom college basketball 🏀, Jamison, Carter, Cota, Dean Smith, national title hopes.

Rasheed Wallace is 6.11then.😢
These is what we want
Should have been National Champs.
Teams were so Talented but the Shooters slump hurt them in the Final Four. Dante Calabria and Shammond Williams both had poor shooting nights!
Carter and jami hung so many nuts
At 18:45.. Thats the one.. Vince with the goggles.
ed cota. Ed Cota played w/ Cam and Mase
This all Wallace show
How the heck did Joe Smith get pick number one over Rasheed Wallace? I mean yeah KG was in hs and had a all sorts of upside but it was still unlnown sheed was killing Joe smith in college.
@DetroitMuscle
9 ай бұрын
Joe Smith was sick bruh. Rasheed got better in the NBA becoming a great shooter so hindsight of course he was better in the league. But in college Joe had a more complete overall game.
I young Sheed would be perfect for Scoot Henderson. I can't believe Washington traded him.
@sickofguysnamedtodd2293
9 ай бұрын
They probably shouldn’t have drafted him. Not a knock on Rasheed, but they already were crowded with big men with the two Fab Fivers, Chris Webber and Juwan Howard. If anything Philly should’ve drafted him instead of Stackhouse. They needed a big who could defend, rebound and run the floor, plus being a Philly native definitely would’ve helped sell tickets. The prodigal son returns.
Carolina fans were so spoiled during these years.
What happened to Caroline not getting those high flyers any longer ? I miss em. Jordan,Stackhouse, Carter, Wallace, Jamison, Brice Johnson the last in my opinion.
Wow
Do you have any 2001 Tar Heel highlights when Joseph Forte was on the squad?

Sheed beat everybody down the floor everytime
Cota move made me take a double take
Sheed was the Shaq in the acc for awhile
That dude said ewww when sheed hung his teabags on his face
Sheed hung the nuts on people quickly
Hahaha that’s awesome

All that talent over the years, why not more championships???

Because college talent was spread out and not one and done players. Just look at the highlights of the teams they played. Maryland with Joe Smith, Georgetown with AI, Victor Page, Othello Harrington, Wake Forest with Duncan, Childress and Rogers, UConn with Ray Allen' Donald Marshall, to Rip Hamilton, Duke with Elton Brand, Battier, Williams, Langdon and many more

@@diauntefatherOnly to loose to Utah in 98. Shooting killed that team against them throwing up bricks all day. Especially Williams who needed to quit shooting that game. Jaminson unfortunately played his worst game as well. I was sick thinking they were a shoe in. Would have been something to see Stanford win after loosing by 1 in overtime to Kentucky to see Utah vs Stanford over two power houses. But would have loved to see Kentucky vs UNC.
@diauntefather
9 ай бұрын
@@brando4422 yeah they didn't play well that game, and Utah slowed the game down on them. UNC was fast paced, while Miller and Doleac just simplified them. One thing common though, was that both teams stars, were not one and done players; besides Jamison and Carter, most of both teams players, stayed all 4 years!
