Thanks man! It has been kinda crazy. The first year was a success to me because i hit my first 100. But to potentially see even more growth in the next year is humbling. Thanks for being there from the very early infancy 🤘🏻 I won’t lie i am fighting off re buying this lens for E mount. It’s such a good little lens to use. Especially on crop sensor cameras.

I just bought an EOS m and I think I'm going to purchase this lens. I've been shooting short films and I think this may be a fantastic lens for that. Thank you for the insight.

@@Ansonandco Speaking of 7artisans 25mm f1.8 -- seems as more recent review claims it it sharp and doesnt have blur issues, could be more recent builds got blur edges fixed?

I bought this for my vg-30 camcorder. It is a great VIDEO lens. More for static or tripod shots though, due to the paper thin focal range you can get. Thumbs up to you sir!

I stumbled upon this after seeing your other 7artisans lenses, this was my first lens for my G7. I absolutely love this lens which I don't use much any more but watching these videos sparked my interest in their vision and spectrum lenses. Im running a gh5 now and have my share of rokinon cine lenses as well as a Xeen 85mm but idk I'd like to try those 7artisan lenses on the gh5.

That’s awesome! It really is a great lens. I wish they would re house this lens and maybe the 35 f1.4 like they did the vision series. That was all just optics from their f0.95 line of photo lenses

I agree that would be an awesome setup. I had purchased a 30mm from meike around the same time and I found that the 25 had more of a vintage look when reviewing the footage. What I loved about it was how much light it let's in especially for nighttime shots.

In fact canon eos m with these lens feels cinematic ,I liked very much the image in the fields ,magic lantern plus canon eos is a cheap cinema beast also,Nice review !

Honestly this is probably one camera I would recommend for anyone that is trying to get into film making on a micro budget! Because absolutely! With ML it really is a great cinema camera contender.

I bought the 30 1.2 and the 7.5 2.8 Fisheye. Love them both. My favorite little Chinese lens is the Brightin Star 50 1.4! This thing is RAZOR sharp in the middle and I could care less about the corners. It’s a portrait lens that is so great in crappy light. Less than $100. Get it, it’s so 🧈

I just picked up a m4/3 camera and so this 7.5 2.8 has me intrigued... is there a ton of distortion? See when it comes to fifty i have my eyes on some vintage options like the canon 50 1.2 FD

But i am also trying to partner with some of these companies to test and possibly give away some of their lenses. 🤞🏻! I have my eye on the Laowa 7.5 cause it seems to not have a ton of distortion. Especially trying to do real estate with m4/3. It is super nice but agreed on the $$. I will get it when somebody is paying me lol

The Laowa 9mm is Mecca for a Real Estate lens. But $500?! For a little Chinese MF? Crazy. But Sony and Sigma won’t compete so... I have all the Sigmas and the 18-105. The Viltrox is the best sharpness but these little Chinese lenses drive me crazy! I’m buying a $100-150 lens every couple of weeks! Somebody stop me!!!

It seemed pretty accurate, but I didn’t really look that in depth on it. But I didn’t notice anything being way off.

How do you color grade this video,the tone is so pleasing to watch

Not sure whether this is still relevant, but I’m in this situation and need some advices please 👇🏻 Having a Viltrox 23 1.4, thinks that it’s a bit huge for bring out street photography len, eyeing on Fujifilm 27mm 2.8, it’s sacrificing some DOP and more narrower picture in exchange for the lens size, is it worth it ? Or is this 7Artisan lens a good option to let me try out the feeling of pancake lens whether I really need a pancake ? 🤭 I’m using Fuji X-E4 btw

Mine came with an attachment that looks like a "finger doo-hickey" you attach to the focus or aperature ring. Did yours? How do you use it? Thanks.

I don’t remember if mine did or not. But in theory the lens is so small it’s supposed to help the focus ring have more of a stand out feature to pull focus with. You should be able to use as a thumb stud kind of set up

This only lens i use for family trips now. Small and very mobile plus pictures quality is better than my iPhone.

I can't help that I live in Europe and can't be the part of this awesome give away! I'm gutted! The only reconciliation is that I already have one :) It seems like 7artisans lens is a neat little package. Is it a full frame lens? Will it work on a full frame Sony without vignetting?

I know! Maybe when i hit 1k my budget will support international shipping 🤔 It is an awesome little lens. However, it is crop sensor only. And i wish i could give you insight on the vignetting. However, like a dummy, i bought the canon mount thinking i could adapt it, but canon mirrorless does not adapt to Sony, so i was unable to do extensive testing on my a7iii 😡 If i get my hands on it for e mount i will keep everyone posted

Yeah i found that out the hard way. You can adapt their older EF lenses and i think EOS. But as soon as it goes mirrorless, the flange apparently is the same distance for Sony and Canon mirrorless and so an adapter would cause too much separation.

The lens will alway be 25mm but your field of view may be closer to 35mm on APSC

How is it on the A7III? I was tryn to find a 35mm lens from 7artisans for under $100 but most of them are (aps-c) so I started looking up reviews on the 25mm. On a full frame I think it’s 35-37.5mm in cropped mode. Did you get a chance to play with it on your A7III? If so what did you think? I’m sure it’s not much of a difference from your EOSM, a7iii would probably give it more detail an all around cinematic style. Great vid. Keep killin. 2yrs later lol

Oh man I haven’t had a comment on this video in a minute. I never tested it on the a7iii when I had it, but the a7iii had a pretty decent super 35 mode and so I would imagine it would perform well on that camera. You just wouldn’t be able to use the full sensor of the a7iii

Have you tried the pergear 25 1.8? I will love to know which one is better

Thanks so much! Honestly this lens is not a bad option. They do make an Fuji x mount version. There may be a learning curve with it being fully manual (no autofocus) but for a easier lens i would look at a Fujifilm 35mm f1.8 if you can find one. Those are great lenses no matter the brand of camera.

Wow I had to watch this back, you’re right young Anson was real bad at footage. I feel that. I normally focus on video work, but even more so with this video. The EOSM is not the greatest stills camera and so that’s why there were only 2 photos. Different strokes for different folks. Thanks for watching though!
