Like it happened to me😅😅 🤣😂👍 but I don't regret it at all, as my works have always unique look, compare to those who is using modern clinically clear gear...😮

As I return to hobby photography after a decade-long hiatus, I find that a lot of "influencers" spend much of their time trying to impress viewers with their high-end gear and pixel-peaking-worthy results. I get the sense that most of us hobbyists are more interested in having fun and producing usable results (for our meager purposes) than in maxing out our gear specs and creating extremely precise images. That makes inexpensive lenses like this so compelling.

Sad that too many of these 'influencers' push product. They make it as if aps-c or MFT is inferior. Photography should be fun. Once I joined the USAF and ended up in the Philippines, I bought a Pentax Spotmatic F and had the best time taking pictures all over the Philippines. Today, it's all hype, all about the gear and no concern for expense. This is why I commented to Mark Bennett Camera Crisis to show how a camera and lens works in the field. Show us what it can do, not tell me about the product in the studio. Shooting outdoors vs. a chart on the wall are two entirely different things. I have Sony, one A7R3 and the a6700, a6600 and a6500. They are my preferred camera for being small and lightweight. I get as good a picture from the aps-c as I do with the A7R3 (except when I severely crop a photo of a small bird, etc.) Generally, when I shoot pictures are larger than tiny objects, the image quality difference is miniscule. Some of my best photos of my grandson is with the a6600.

I have been shooting budget and vintage lenses for about one year. The biggest suprise is that I seldom miss the ability to auto focus. It is a great way to learn zone focusing and aperture settings. Manual focus is not really a problem when shooting video either, as you will never ruin a shot when your camera starts searching or loses a focus point.

I had this lens for a while now, and I love shots I've taken with it. At one point, I sort of didn't like it as much and tried to sell it for really cheap but no one was buying it. I decided to try it a few more times after a while and just learned to love it and use it if I need that focal length (aside from using my zoom). Also love how close you can get. Great lens, especially for how much you're paying for.

Affordable or ultra-budget lenses hold a special place in my heart! I adore their imperfections, quirky charm, and unique surprises they bring to photography. And I absolutely love experimenting with all of them! While I do own prime lenses, my true preference lies in the realm of low or ultra-low budget lenses. These unassuming gems allow me to have more fun, evoke emotions, and infuse my photography with unique personality.

To that end I have been shooting on an XM-1 with the TT Artisans 27mm 2.8 - a fun pocketable lens - however I feel like it suffers a little during midday shooting. Enter the 7artisans 25mm f1.8 - word across the board is its sharpness and contrast are impressive. Very much looking forward to seeing if that holds true. Your reviews are very much appreciated.

I've had this lens for about 3 years now, and it's a pretty solid performer. However it was made for micro four thirds (and I would advise you to use it on an MFT camera as a 50mm equiv if you want to take full advantage of it). On APS-C, we clearly get outside of the area for which 7artisans have corrected it. What does that mean? Well center is extremely sharp but the corners are absolutely horrendous. This is especially apparent at closer focusing distances. Even when you stop the lens down, they don't sharpen up until about f/11 (which is not indicated on the aperture ring??), and that's also where the image softens up due to diffraction. In a nutshell, it's a really good lens if you want shallow DOF, with a subject in the center of the frame. For everything else, either shoot crop 1:1 or stop down the lens at f/11 or tighter, and accept the diffraction limits. Forget landscape photography if you want maximum sharpness with it. It's not a bad lens. It's a very good value for what it is even. King of budget lenses though? That just makes me want to NOT look at the other budget lenses...

I'm currently looking for a small and compact, almost pancake sized 50mm lens and these 3 seems like the best candidate; I'm not really sure which of them I should pick since there's practically nobody who compared them before (the Meike in particular seems to lack any info in general). It's how I learned photography way back in high school (B&W only, fully manual, developing the film and image prints by hand) and love the hands-on approach it forces. It's why, after having and loving my Canon 70D for a decade for its live view and video, I got a used Fujifilm X-T2 for its dials and ability to ignore bells and whistles with being forced to manual focus with the cheap lenses.

It would give a little tighter frame, but it would mostly be about buying a fun and interesting manual focus lens (in your case).

It is a great lens for the price, especially the close up performance. However, it might be worth noting that the edges are muddy and the manual focus experience can be challenging - at least on my copy. The focus throw is very short and a turn of one mm can be the difference between in focus and totally out of focus, even for subjects far away. So it can be a slow process where you need to rely on magnification for the best result. I would not trust the markings on the lens and if you try zone focusing you will have to stop down more than you would on another lens or be prepared to miss many shots.

25/1.8 is a Fantastic lens I used it a lot with my fuji xT10 But in my opinion, the built is terrible cheaper than its price. The lens spontaneously fell apart once, the front barrel and front element detached while i was shooting and turning the aperture ring.thankfully I could assemble and put them back easily. Another Honda commercial where people are driving crazy fast and dangerous. Driving on LA freeways is a race to 5mph at times. Since I see so much love for the ZV-E10, all the lenses and adapters available, how about a sub section on this camera and ways it can make the next blockbuster or just great videos on the cheap. I have one, the a6700 and A7CR, and I have to say the ZV-E10 is incredible despite the cost. Being the bestselling camera in Japan, it would be nice to see videos dedicated to this camera. And slip in some side info on the other crop sensor brands. I'm tired of the overpriced native lenses and see so many alternative lenses from so many different companies. It's stupid to think making a video requires more than a $700 camera body and inexpensive lenses. When I shoot stills, I like the extra megapixels of the A7CR but for videos, the ZV-E10 and a6700 is more than enough.
