How good is he? World-class, once in a lifetime, a supreme talent who already deserves his own room in the Hall of Fame.

Othani is a 2 way phenom, he hits and pitches, if you compare him to the elites of pitchers and hitters, he's up there with them.

I think we should all just let the guy play. His extraordinary talent will appear naturally.

Babe Ruth is objectively overrated if you adjust for all of the changes, it being a white league, playing against basically mechanics and grocery store clerks while having the advantage of being paid enough to focus solely on baseball. He was top five in wins above replacement as a hitter alone, and that was just with 5 months played out of six. He was near the top in home runs, runs bad in, batting average, on base plus slugging percentage. I don't know what other metric you want for a top hitter. This year he's top five in the league in many of those same categories. He seems to favor on base plus slugging percentage and pure on base percentage as his top categories. The guy can flat out hit
