This Chelsea side played beautiful futbol unlike tuchel's Chelsea,this Chelsea side were creating chances, scoring for fun,were ruthless they were jus lacking squad depth,a bit of experience especially forward areas

It was a very poor top4 season. Just look at the points needed to get top4. No other season we would made top4 with that low of points. But he did allright

This made me so emotional seeing mount pulisic Tammy etc play like this

A season full of some high highs and very low lows...But it will forever be my favorite. It all meant so much more with Frank and the youth!

That start of the season for Abraham was something else, nothing could stop him when he was in that form

He was never gonna work cos we never played the system that can bring out his strengths and at the same time we couldn't cos that sacrificed a lot more just to cater around 1 player. In the first place he suited a Liverpool or City more than us and would have balled out for either of those.

Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Reece James, Husdon Odoi and Tammy Abraham can all thank this season as the catalyst to their success!

Yeah because he’s been so good since… Was having an abysmal season with Roma before he did his ACL on the last day.

This was one heck of a fun season. So many academy folks burst into the scene, Pulisic was on Hazard level, and even with this squad we got top 4 and a cup final. Thank you Lampard !

I just got into football and looked for a team to support. I could've chosen City or Liverpool but seeing these young kids like Pulisic, Mount, Abraham and a legend like Frank Lampard managing the team made me fall in love with Chelsea. This season will always remain special for me

Damn bruv. What a time to join as a fan!! This season is an absolute banger bcs lamps give so many academy boys a chance. I have never seen that in this club my whole life and I've known the club since abramovich took over.

Mount, James, Abraham, Tomori, CHO, Pulisic (Even though he’s not exactly an academy graduate). The transfer ban was a blessing in disguise.

What a season for Frank Lampard as a manager and what a season for the academy!!!

Pulisic was on fire that season

Wow, fhis is nostalgic. I remember how anxious I felt before the start of this season. We had a transfer ban, Hazard and Luiz left. Things looked pretty grim. Thought we'd finish at 10th or something. But then the season started and to my surprise most of the youth players over-oerformed, we just lost Hazard but it felt like we got a replacement straight away in Pulisic. Tammy Abraham felt like the second coming of Drogba. Our attack was just flawless! But defense was the main issue, I remember we conceded in almost every set piece and Kepa always played so bad. But then the season ended and we finished 4th and reached the FA CUP finals with a young squad, our best player leaving and a transfer ban. We definitely overachieved that season!

That second game vs united was a nightmare to watch, shame refereeing hasn't improved one bit since

We were really decent under Lampard in that season, i can remember how decisive Willian was for the team as well as new inductees like Abraham and Mount. Chelsea deserved to be in Top 4 then , it was full of ups and downs and that's part and parcel of football but the essential was to grab that fourth place and we reached the cup final !

Imagine at that time we had Zouma,Fikayo Timori and Christensen as our starting CBs But now Thiago Silva,Fofana, Badiashile Will be our CBs even Kaloubaly will do well at back Four. I can't wait to see super Frank cooking this time round

I really miss this Tammy Abraham

Giroud was massive. Willian was reliable. Alonso was terrific offensively. We lack such key players who can score from set pieces etc. We barely even a have a reliable penalty taker now.

That season was like living the dream. Frank at the helm, team loaded with our own youngsters, who were getting the job done. Bu then it all fell apart.

If there is a manager who deserved time was Lampard is the best,

Captain America. With Lampard, whenever he play he scores. only injury kept him out.

Will be interesting to see Lampard with the adjustments he has now. No #9 in the front. But a better defence. A quicker midfield. But less in-form wingers.

To be fair to Lampard, he did very well working under so tight robe. Tammy, Tomori wasn't treated well at chelsea, those two deserves more.

We did well to qualify for the Champions League but lets have it right. We were very poor in a lot of games. He had a strong squad with Kova joining permanently. We were very much best of a bad bunch after Liverpool and City.

I loved this season

They qualified for ucl and won it the following year 💙

I was like, why sell Tammy, next future striker, who actually play good so cheap, but buy a reject who actually playing bad for Chelsea and United, with that much price tag? If you don't want Tammy because he doesnt fit in your plan, why buy a striker with the same treat as Tammy with higher price? Better keep Tammy then rather buy Lukaku.

We barely see Chelsea play attacking and beautiful football. After Don Carlo, Frank Lampard is the one who bring this to Chelsea.

Thanks to Lampard getting us top four that allowed us to compete in UCL the season after and win it

Kepa was our down fall i saw simply goals score on him most of the games played
