Other former presidents bang on about the environment while flying around in opulent private jets. Only Jimmy Carter is the real deal. The other former presidents just want to live like rock stars. President Carter has always been my favorite living president. Thank you sir for showing us the way to live life.

Yes it’s true,,,, we were able to get a chance to shake hands with President Carter on our JetBlue flight from Georgia to NYC. Upon boarding I noticed all these tall hunky guys on every port of the plane , I even ask myself “what’s happening”. Then when everybody was settled, from the back there’s a slight commotion, and it was President Carter with 2 more big tall guys , wearing like Men In Black suits. And he was shaking everybody’s hands going to the front seats. Even though the flight is delayed a little bit, it was good . Who could have thought that I have the opportunity to have a close encounter of an Ex President. Probably one to none. Such a humble and modest man, a true example of a leader.God Bless Him. 🥰

His lack of worldly knowledge was one of the factors that contributed to his and Donald Rumsfeld's decision to invade Iraq. They pushed the false notion that Saddam Hussain was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction, sweet talked Tony Blair into the coalition and also our bloke John Howard here in Australia. And that was it, they had their "coalition of the willing". Despite all the warnings from UN weapons inspector Hans Blix that Iraq had no WOMD's whatsoever, they went ahead and invaded Iraq. And look at the domino effect of total stuff ups that has caused, Libya, Afghanistan, Syria. Grab a copy of ex GCHQ translator Katherine Gun's book "The spy who tried to stop a war" if you're interested in these things.

I'm Australian and I felt deeply sorry for Jimmy Carter when a newsflash came over the radio playing in the background of our workshop that a US mission to rescue American hostages in Iran had failed. This was in 1980. You could see the agony he was going through on TV that night in a press conference from the White House. If that mission had succeeded he would have been a hero (rightly so) and perhaps may have even changed the course of Middle East history.

Like someone said,Carter is a perfect example of an ex president living a simple, humble life, and God knows, perhaps that is why he enjoys the grace of the Lord with such a span of long life as we can see.Wishing him more years and good health Amen

Awesome lovely. Blessing to have a country that can still proudly look back at their past presidents. Wonderful families and couples to look at. Sadly some have seen their counterparts in less fortunate countries assassinated imprisoned and exiled with their approval. Why? To keep the polls and ratings. Life goes on. Wonderful lovely presentation. Give us Europe and Africa and Asia. Where are their presidents.

Man Jimmy Carter done more as an ex-president than he did as a president. Though I will give him credit for the three mile island thing. I respect the guy. He one the few people who walks the walk and talks the talk. We need someone like him so dearly today.

I went from watching homeless in L.A. to what past Presidents spend their money on. Hard to believe it's the same country and a President could go without their pension which could almost singlehandedly solve homelessness.

I was flying out of Atlanta airport when I was upgraded to first class for my return trip home. That was cool, but once on the plane and seated, Jimmy Carter walks on the plane sits down next to me. For the plane trip, we talked a little bit, but it was just weird for him to sitting next to me. Sometimes it is a small world.

To the Englishman narrating, so much for the intellect of the English. The Ex Presidents wife was well established prior to anyone becoming president and btw only pays only in 2021 $400,000.00 annually. Senators congressmen $250,000.00 -$700,000.00 annually not including automatic salary increase at rise of costs of living which is only granted within the government but denied to all citizens of the united states of america.
