How drug gangs operate in Europe's most dangerous city
Marseille has long held its unhappy reputation as one of Europe's crime capitals.
(Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
But a record 49 drug-related murders last year, fuelled by a brutal turf-war between rival gangs, has taken the violence to a new level.
While French authorities struggle to get a grip - many of those caught up in it say acute social deprivation is to blame.
We were granted rare access to a gang in the city's notorious northern quarters.

Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, smoking, and illicit pills addiction. I grew up in Inner city Manchester as a youth in the mid 90s but this looks far worse than where I grew up, in fact when I visited Marseille a few years ago, I got mugged on the waterfront by a group of lads. They generate €50,000+ per day , however the network boss takes a large chunk, another portion is used to buy more drugs , and the rest to pay the workers who are poor unless they work their way up to the top. Gulf Arab countries have multiculturalism , ZERO crime all over and have one of the most successful economies in the world. So the problem in Europe is corruption from the leaders and police force, and not migrants or anyone else.

@@JudeJaradat what multiculturalism are you talking about? migrants there never get their citizenship and are not even permitted to build their places of worship, if they happen to be non muslim. and if they harm locals - immediate deportation awaits them. not to mention other insanely strict laws of arab countries. dont you dare compare this to Europe

Awww feel so sorry for those lil African kids. Africa needs to sort it out & stop giving money & resources to France & other European countries. They need to start caring about African people instead of capital gain & get rid of this colonial separatist way of thinking. #AfricaIsStrongerTogetherAndWithoutEurope

I wonder if there is an actual Frenchman living in Marseille these days… I ask myself his question in almost al the major European cities. ‘This comment will probably be deleted’

You’re talking nonsense. The vast majority of major European cities (with the exception of a few) are at least 70% white. You’re just a scared boomer.
