I visited Warsaw and Gdansk two years ago and I'm looking forward to seeing Krakow and Wroclaw next. Hopefully I'll be able to have a conversation in Polish with someone by then. My favourite Polish word to say is "przepraszam" 🤷‍♂️

I am going to southern Poland soon wish I would have learned more Polish from my grandma and all her friends that would speak and sing in Polish at church when I was a child. It was fun spending time in the Polish neighborhood where my grandma lived, now maybe a couple people left that can speak Polish still where I grew up in Pennsylvania. Tried to look into genealogy to so where I have family in Poland or if they survived the war but no luck in finding any information.

Euro feels soulless - it's just money and nothing else. Even the designs are pretty dull looking. Złoty is a part of our Polish identity and history, and it's pretty stable. We really like our currency. There are other economic and political factors, but that one is the most important reason; for me at least.

Probably same reason as here in Czechia - it's very unpopular and it would be suicide for governemnt to to that. But to be honest, mostly low educated people want to stay with our priceless currency. I understant their arguments, our banknotes are beatifull and we don't have any stupid cents so it's very easy to pay with Czech crown, but our currency is connected to euro so that argument about it saves us from crisis is total bullshit, when German economy fall down, we fall too. I am not saying I want euro immediately, but it would help to us in many things, like paying online on steam and such things, when you pay in euros and you don't have account in euroes, it's very expensive then. Also other countries are very expensive for us becuase our currency is very weak and we have to pay many our mony for one stupid euro. Also our export economy is earning in euros so it would be easier even for companies to have euro and not transfering it to our currency.
