7:51 "What's a phoenix force?" The best comic/cartoon story line of X-Men, and the worse movie X-Men story line. There are literally two different X-Men movies about it. The first one bombed really bad and everyone hated it. The 2nd one was a retry at it with the new rebooted movies and they used the same writer/directer and it bombed even harder. The phoenix force was essentially god-tier level power of alien origin. It has a will of its own, and can really fuck up someone who tries wielding its power. Usually that person has no say in the matter and they're just possessed by it.

I liked the second attempt of the Dark Phoenix film, it was just not going to match the better X-Men movies. I went into it with my expectations low and liked it as a film, not a story. Keep your expectations low, and you will never be disappointed.

Most of the game ones kyle made the decision on if they should stay or not, mostly because some of them he knew stuff about already and/or dont plan to play and they stayed, otherwise the ones he knows almost nothing about and plan to play he and i removed

@@MoostachedSaiyanPrince a lot of marvel comic shows don’t last on tv sadly. But it has been considered to be reexplored with all the cartoon reboots going around for the uncompleted stories. I think the last truly big one was the Spider-Man cartoon from the 90s. That was MY Spider-Man. It lasted 5 seasons and only needed 1 more episode for a proper happy ending for a Peter Parker who BADLY needed it.

But armored adventures and spectacular won’t be chosen at the same time if I know show patterns. Especially since that Iron Man is essentially Spider-Man. Actually was spectacular Cartoon Network or Nickolodeon? I can’t recall. I know Armored Adventures was Nickolodeon.

The Iron Man song came form Iron Man Armored Adventures. It was an animated tv show that came out after the first Iron Man MCU movie. Its a fun watch. I highly recommend it.

Gargoyles is a Disney series that aired in the 90s. It's pretty good. Also, the music in this fight is from an anime called Aldnoah.Zero. Death Battle doesn't start using original fight music until halfway through season 4.

He rules the planet where Lex Luther's armor comes from, Apokolips. He's a big guy with glowing red eyes, grey skin, black armor, and his face looks like it's carved from stone or something. The timestamp you saw him is at 10:33

Voice actor fun fact! Tony Stark played by Chuck Huber, voice of Android 17 and many others in ACTUAL Dragonball, but you know him as that one doctor whose name I've forgotten from Full Metal Alchemist, the one that made a chimera out of his daughter.

Gold Titanium alloy doesn't mean just gold and titanium. The suit is a titanium alloy (probably aluminum and carbon fibers in there too) with a gold based coating for it's thermal properties like preventing ice over in the movies. Which is odd since Silver is a better conductor than gold, but it tarnishes... and doesnt look as nice with red.

Also gold titanium alloy is a real thing, and is 4 times harder than pure titanium, and much harder than most steels. However, I don't think such a thin suit would be able to withstand all of the feats that we see in the movies, if it were in real life.

gargoyles was a cool series like 2 seasons. about indeed gargoyles. they are in the future a dying race. and this guy exploited them. its kinda touching. and also touched on gun safety at one point. as brooklyn shot a girl. and he was like. i thought it was a toy. she was fine. but as a kid that scared the shit out of me.

Gargoyles was a Disney Afternoon show from the 90's, made in response to the success of the 90's Batman and Spiderman cartoons (Disney didn't have Marvel yet). They wanted in on the superhero bucks, so they made Gargoyles. The show is brilliant, with great music and action, stellar performances, and writing that covered dark themes (isolation, body horror, epicurianism vs humanitarianism, accepting loss) that you really didn't expect from Disney at the time. Early on there was even a gun safety episode, the effects of which were seen for several episodes after. The Gargoyles character in the death battle is Goliath, the leader of the group. I won't take too much away with spoilers, but he is strong, noble, and voiced by Keith David, known for having one of the sexiest male voices around. Don't know if you've seen Princess and the Frog, but he played the villain in that.

This is probably one of the best death battles of all time chefs kiss

The song that kicks in at the climax is MKAlieZ, from Aldnoah Zero ost.

If we go by their canon iq Tony Stark has 270 and Lex Luthor has 225 atleast that is what i got on the first googling i did, but important to remember is that well its two different universes

This is one of my favorite Death Battles.

Fucking love this death battle. I’m a huge Iron Man fan. Particularly Armored Adventures. Great show. Great animation if not a bit weird for people design. Essentially Iron Man filled the role of Spider-Man in that show. There are others animated like this that I just adore. Favorite you’ll have to wait for being Captain Falcon vs Johnny Cage. Not for the animation…just for EVERYTHING else.

Actually, just allow me to put my nerd glasses on. It’s not the rock that is harmful to Kryptonians, it is the specific radiation it emits. That is why people like Firestorm can be harmful to Kryptonians as he can make whatever radiation he wants. So without the radiation, the Kryptonite rock is just a rock.

Weaker than 200+ Supernukes of his own invention which is what that panel was of him surviving. Plus, he has plenty of durability feats they didn't specifically address, such as the center of the sun and being hit with a punch that could "shatter entire worlds." The Extremis armor also made the planet-busting Mjolnir look like a plastic fork against a metal door. So yeah, nice logic.

Tony is adopted if you look at the comics and some TV shows but when it comes to the cinematic universe which most people are used to he is not adopted.

Hulk has actually been in 2 DeathBattles so far. The first one put him up against Doomsday (the monster from "Death of Superman"), and the second one put him up against the Dragonball Super version of Broly.

Yeah Kyle there was a Marvel Fighting game It was called Marvel vs Capcom and there was 3 of them. It was the marvel super heroes and villains As well as Capcom characters like Mega Man and Ryu from Street fighter Also that song playing at the beginning of the death battle was the theme of Iron Man: Iron Adventures which was a Netflix show.

Disney's Gargoyles is one of the greatest shows ever. Of all time. Basically, gargoyles get frozen in time in the year 994 and wake up in New York City in 1994.

The key component in the Endosym Armor is Graphene, that's why it's that good.

It was built to fight Superman, not someone else with different abilities

What happend to Samus vs Boba Fett Remastered or Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher?

Yes, gargoyles was an awesome series from the 90's featuring a great story about gargoyles being the last of their kind awakening hundreds of years in the future in modern day New York with voice work from half the cast of Star Trek the next generation. Hell, Zanatos even looks like Riker from the series. I highly recommend watching it if you can.

Lex is smarter in some ways, the only arena where Tony really compares is in technology, science and engineering etc. But Tony is not burdened by a hyperfixation and inferiority complex with Superman which is a real handycap in a battle like this where you have, essentially, a generalist battle technologist against a highly specialized battle technologist (but their focus of specialty is NOT how to fight other technologists, just a specific specimen of a non-human species that is not involved in this battle.)

I kinda want to see Luthor vs Kingpin, no extreme suits, just a brawl with maybe the Kryptonite Injection and simple gadgets

X-men are part of the marvel universe, just so you know. It’s just that they are not in the same movie universe because of level rights for ownership. Up until now, marvel just recently got the rights back to make movies for them from fox

One little bit i noticed (that you probably wont even know what I’m talking about) is that Lex Luthor in the fight uses the animation for an Ultimate Attack from the game Dragonball Xenoverse called “Super Electric Strike” (i think that was the name its been a while)

Gargoyles is one of the greatest animated shows ever made. I would rank it among Avatar the last airbender, Gravity Falls, the Venture bros and Batman the animated series.

@@theduckgoesmoo It's a movie, called "Django Unchained", made by Quentin Tarantino, the same guy who made Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, and Inglorious Bastards. Highly recommend the movie

just found out yesterday that the creator of Berserk; Kentaro Miura, passed away early this month from acute aortic dissection at the age of 54. RIP Kentaro... his passing put a permanent cliffhanger on the Berserk manga...also, you're gonna need surgeries to place your mouth back into your skull when you find out what Hulk and Darkseid are capable of.

Actually he made a "summary" of what was supposed to happen and gave it to his team that made Berserk along with him.

Did you not play video, watch cartoons, and or read comics? The amount of characters you do not know is crazy

I really enjoyed this fight as they had both Tony and Lex down. And yes Lex did kill his parents using good old-fashioned social Darwinism. Also I'm going to ignore you just called my boy Goliath ugly. True that gargoyles are statues on top of buildings, but there is also a TV series where they are supernatural creatures that protect their homes from various threats. As the intro states: "1000 years ago Superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of Darkness. It was a world of fear. It was an age of gargoyles. Stone by day, Warriors by night. They were betrayed by the humans they sworn to protect, Frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. But eventually the spell was broken and they live again in Manhattan as the Defenders Of The Night. It was one of the best shows I grew up with and Still Remains one of my personal favorites to this day.

@@theduckgoesmoo I think you would like it to watch. It has a lot of inspirations from Arthurian myths and legends, Macbeth and one of William Shakespeare plays "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

you wanna talk about how animation has come so far in these videos? oh boy, wait till you get to the Death Battle videos from....maybe 2019 or 2020. i don't wanna spoil anything, but i'm sure someone already said it, but they animate Wiz and Boomstick in more recent episodes, and the animation for battles gets up there with RWBY Volume 8 levels of good.

The first iron man is my favourite, its criminally underrated.

Hulk VS Saitama if you want a hulk fight. It's not Deathbattle they had him fight doomsday I think? I like the Saitama vs Hulk animation, its got a good story, its by Zimaut Animation

Hulk has fought doomsday and lost he has also fought Broly and lost. The Broly one is recent

There are 2 Hulk death battles. Hulk vs Doomsday and Hulk vs Broly.

Dude... I think I know a series you need to watch... Gargoyles is a classic!

My favorite Iron Man movie is the first. If your a fan of the comics you would understand why fans were upset with Iron man 3 as the Mandarin is iron man's arch Nemesis

I would say the outcome of this Death Battle is mostly accurate. I do not fully agree with some of the things they had set up, especially with how they gave Ironman a lot of different suits but they only gave Lex his standard armor. But otherwise i would agree. Lex Luthor's suit is powerful, but it is tailored to deal with Superman and not too much else. Most other Characters can deal with what Lex can throw at them, and much like they said, he is much more of a mastermind and much less of a fighter. I would also agree with your assesment that Lex Luthor is probably more intelligent than Ironman, but he is also much more egocentric and obsessed than Ironman (which is saying a lot, cause those are also quite extreme issues for Tony), so although a lot of his technology could technically rival everything that Ironman could throw at him, his obsession with Superman in particular makes him prioritize specialized technology that exploits the weaknesses of Superman. But if Lex didnt have to worry about Superman all the time, his technology could easily match every piece of technology that Ironman has made.

I think Lex is considered like a 9th level intellect while someone like Brainiac is around 12th level I think Tony is probably on par or right Below Lex(9th level by the way is smart enough to apparently convince a human being to commit suicide or even convince superman the error of his ways with in just a few minutes)but its hard to tell how smart Tony is because in most of the Marvel universe his intellect is greatly exaggerated like hes used when anything technology based is brought up and someone like spiderman needs a hand he figures out how to reverse engineer a super suit from another reality and travel there because he detected some radiation on the suit that left a mark revealing the location it came from and also he now knows how to speak the language cause he learnt it overnight from an onboard computer in the suit his intelligence should be around the level of Reed Richards and a little above Peter Parker whos smarts are usually downplayed

Technically iron man is smarter than lex because he was able to build a suit that could hold the infinity stones which hold infinite power. Not to mention he also built ultron as well as a sentient suit.

@@silverhawk6748 It was not about Lex being smarter but the correction of Ultron creation (with made the mcu a lot smaller) Besides creating an AI with a body like Dooms doubles or Lex's bodyguard Mercy? Building AI isn't that impresive in both universes when your a tech based hero/villian
