The voice actor for Goliath is Keith David, an amazing and talented voice actor who has done countless roles. He played the Arbiter in Halo 2, T'Chaka in the Avengers Assemble cartoon, the president in Rick and Morty, Admiral David Anderson from Mass Effect, and Spawn. He's also voiced Nick Fury in one of the Marvel video games. He's played hundreds of roles, you've probably heard him in multiple places

Aside from his role in Gargoyles, I remember him from a few of Ken Burns' documentaries, strangely enough.

Just a fun thing on the "How?" of the curse. The creator of the show explained at one point that one of the rules of magic in the series is that all curses require a way out. You can't just say "sleep forever" you have to give a possible cure or escape route for the spell to work, and so you have to come up with something that is technically possible but so unlikely that you assume it won't ever happen. Like a 10th century castle rising above the clouds. I just always found that a really cool rule. And yeah, relatively earlier battles tended to leave out more information, and I feel like this was the worst of them. Thankfully they seem to have gotten way better with that more recently.

Literally every character that pops up, this dude is like, "Oh i have no idea who that is" Jesus dude

Gargoyles seasons 1&2 have some of the best characters and storytelling and myth and lore you could ever hope to see in a TV series. Season 3 was just passable as the main creative force behind it left at that point.

Stan Lee created both the Hulk and the X-Men, one year apart. Hulk was created in 1962 and X-Men in 1963. Beast wasn't blue and hairy until 1972. Beast and Hulk aren't really too similar except to say they have super strength, but Hulk's far exceeds Beast's. There are other characters with Hulk powers, but Beast is not really one of them.

Yeah, this battle is super plagued by having a ton of information left out until the end - easily the most of any Death Battle. Kind of a huge issue, which they do occasionally repeat, though not nearly to this extent. I can't blame you for a second for getting this one wrong.

90’s X-Men and Gargoyles were two of my favorite Disney shows when I was little. I didn’t get to watch as much as I liked though due to being born a year after they both ended.

Aww man that next fight is one of the best ones and also has a kickass soundtrack, shame your skipping it. However when you get to Raiden VS Wolverine I hope you don't skip that one. Raiden may be in the metal gear universe but most of his feats described in that video are from his standalone game.

Goliath was voiced by Keith David. He's had many roles, but I think his most well-known role aside from this one was the Arbiter from the Halo games.

Xanatos wasn't running because the entire point of bringing the castle up there was to break the curse... just because. Gargolyes is a great show by the way. But yeah, Goliath is no where near as smart as Beast and the feats of power they list for Beast seems like a nobrainer. Goliath only really has the flight advantage. That result seems way off.

It's not about the flight, it's about battle experience and style. The fight doesn't play to Beasts' strengths as a character while one on one with an equally strong opponent is something Goliath is used to.

There's actually quite a few Hulks. There's a red one who doesn't have a split personality and radiates increasing amounts of gamma radiation when he gets angry instead of getting stronger, and there's also a blue one named A-bomb, which is shortened from Abomination, who looks more monstrous than any other Hulk, which is why he's called Abomination/A-bomb.

Dude. Unless you plan to read 30 years worth of material (comics and novels), there is NO WAY you could be spoiled about Boba. He has less than 5 lines of dialogue and has less then 3 min of screen time in 2 (3 if you watch the special editions) films. What Makes him such an awesome character is his escapades in those comics, novels and sometimes games. Death Battle did their take on the Fett well before Disney were all those books were made non-canon.

@@locvo2050 aside from some clips of the prequel films and TCW. Boba has very little in terms of contribution to TCW. His stand out moment was cut from season 6 and Seven. Hopefully, Bad Batch will fix that. I need that gun duel. It would be pretty cool to have a complete reaction to all Star Wars visual materials.

Yeah, after Goku vs Super Man DB started to skip info in the analysis phase. This has allowed people to misjudge the winner purely based on the info provided. For some DBs, not even the people who know both characters can judge the winner correctly because DB screws up the information. Obviously, they would not give Chuck Norris or Segata Sanchiro the win, as that was more of a gag DB.

yeah, I'm not surprised you don't know Gargoyles. it was a show in the 90's during Disney's Cartoon Afternoon blocks and there are a lot of good classic shows like Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, The Adventures of the Gummie Bears and so on. seriously, if you have Disney+ go find some of these shows. they are great.

Gargoyles was soo freaking cool, I still dont get how its not a franchise.

So Deathbattle try's to be misleading in the intro part especially if it's a clear victory so that it doesn't make the fight a sure conclusion

I feel like the reason they didn’t mention some of the feeds until afterwards, was because if we compare the two directly it would seem more obvious on who’s gonna win. I could be wrong so let me know anything that I may have missed. I do disagree on that golden tree thing they forgot to mention though.

I would suggest you take the time to watch the Gargoyles 'movie' (which is just first 5 eps) it's a solid watch. I would say watch the X-Men Animated series too, but I'd admit it's little cheesy by todays standards. Still a very good and surprising deep show. Almost think of it as the prequel series to My Hero Academia, during the early years of quirks.

They are random people that can walk through walls, lift the Golden gate bridge and give the whole world seizures. It's like passing out nukes and future guns to random people on the street. Everyone else needs some kind of specific condition to get powers. Spider-Man is also one person, and some people do hate him, but his track record means most people like him. An entire race of super powered individuals is ..... Very different.

Connor Wood there is the sentiment virus for why mutant are fear and hate but their also another reason why people in the marvel universe hate mutants and it come to how they clearly identified themselves differently form humanity and the replacement theory Statistically speaking mutant race has the most chances to replace mankind as the dominant species of the planet and the thought of that scare most humans There also nature vs industrial as in mutant are the naturally inheritor of earth but human would would build on the themselves just so they could have claim on what there

At what point do we get to dive into your background and childhood to find out why you were seemingly never exposed to any pop culture? Personally I'm going with the assumption that the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is actually a true story and you were in the cult and underground vault with Schmidt. Also, the background for Beast skipped a lot of his early history. He was an original member of the X-men and at that time he was a more normal looking human, just with large hands and feet. The transformation into the blue furred Beast didn't happen until a few decades later.

Hulk is a lot more powerful. Beast is much more intelligent well until professor hulk became a thing

Being strong and an unusual color does not make someone a Hulk.

Yeah this battle was really misleading in the analysis, If you were not familiar with the characters it really made it like Beast had it in the bag. Even if you did know them both you still might have been wrong. The next 2 games are Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell, I have never played either, but that battle is epic and one of the best animated. I suggest watching it sooner or later.

Duck, seriously. Get a PSX (original playstation) emulator and a copy of Metal Gear Solid now. It's an awesome game and if you learn the various 'glitches' you can easily beat the game in like three hours when you're not trying to go for a speed run.
