How Does It Feel To Ride A Talaria Sting? | Ebike first ride and review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

On the day I got my Talaria Sting from Ebikezilla, I got to take it out for a first ride. After charging the battery from 20% to full in 2 hours 30 minutes, I saddled up for the first time. With all the excitement and anticipation from the past month brimming I jumped right in and got to exploring!
So how is the bike? In a simple explanation, it's everything I wanted. From the power delivery to the noise, rather lack there of, to the stealthy and discrete nature of the bike I am totally satisfied.

    I’m getting one for the summer can you make a video on how to start one and also do some talarias have a key start? Because I’m afraid if someone steals it

  • @Inventi0ns

    @@user-up7yn2kn6u No need for a video really. They all have keys. Except the XXX. That has a wireless chip type key. But as far as the R goes you just turn the key on, hit the start button next to the throttle and go! Super easy! Kick stand also has to be up for it to move. I would defiantly be cautious about leaving it somewhere where someone could steal it. I never lock it anywhere. Only point A to A. If you have to leave it in any form of vulnerable position I'd recommend taking the battery out. Thats like $1k right there. That way it makes it a little less easy to steal sorta. And if it does get stolen you still have something. But overall you someone could fairly easily lift it into a truck and drive off with it if you're not careful. Or even just walk off with it. I absolutely love mine and its a great way to get around. A heavy duty chain lock of some sort would probably be best to lock it up if you really need to. I've never done that though.

    Hey Matt that was some good rides. Whatever the Sur Ron can do pretty sure the TS can do it better with more power. Don't think I would've tried going into the drain. Glad you didn't try going through the other side. That water looked deep. Hispanic dude in the security cart waved me down the other day and nicely informed me I can't ride off the paths. Riding in the ditch probably ok. Anyway man lets get a ride going. Nice neighbors. Good info on the EUC group. Thanks

    @@haveagoodoneyt Cool, I'll join the ride also to take a look at some of the EUC and see what other people are riding. You're going to be the center of attention with that Sting. Hopefully I can keep up with my Grizzly v2. I can only top out at 38 mph but damn it's a beast on steep grade. Hooked up my utility cart last night and loaded 3 cases (32 bottles per case) of bottled water and another 25-30 lbs of groceries from HEB. The Grizzly pulled that cart like it was nothing. I pulled it up an overpass at about a 30⁰ incline at a steady 26 mph with throttle only and hit about 45 mph going down the other side. My van been sitting in the garage for over a month with a full tank. May have to pour in some gas treatments if this keeps up. 🤣

    Hells yea brother!!! You don’t have to register or insure it. And because of that we don’t really know what it is legally. I mean it uses bicycle components but it doesn’t have pedals like an ebike. And it doesn’t require a license plate. I think law enforcement are just treating them as toys.

I recently got my Sting MX4 R and have been looking for some fun places to ride (currently in the Rosenberg area). I don't typically meetup with internet strangers, but would love to have a riding buddy. HMU if you're still riding around in the west Houston area and want to duo sometime.

    How does it feel? Not as good as a Sur Ron The only thing that feels better on the Talaria is the seat and that can be upgraded for $50 on a Sur Ron The 38ah Talaria battery isn't even efficient, it seems to get the same range as a Sur Ron with that gearbox/44t sprocket combo, I'd only recommend a Talaria for off-roading because of the gearbox's advantage. The Sur-Rons primary belt or primary (short) chain is known to snap eventually in harsh conditions (I'm not referring to the secondary/long chain that spins the wheel) I'm also not sure if those new 72v rated reinforced/belts solve this issue or if the riders weight or the suspension settings have something to do with this. But that's it in a nutshell

  • @haveagoodoneyt

    @haveagoodoneyt

    Жыл бұрын

    The biggest difference is initial torque vs mid range power. The Talaria has better hit but the Surron pulls more in the mid range from my experience. Using the Talaria in some pretty serious offroad conditions, editing those videos right now, I'm very impressed and love how much power it develops.
