Hikaru's focus is razor sharp. He has a good sense of humour. As he speaks, it looks like he's playing Bullet Chess. We love him for his daily analysis of games on his channel and those expressions on his face even when he is on the losing side. ❤

​@@120rikeshlawoju8 Hikky is playing against nepo with black next game, winning there I think secures a spot in the tie break because he's playing after that against gukesh with white and he's not losing that for sure unless you're vidit, and if this series ended up in a tie break, I think everyone just assumed that Hikaru would win because we know how much of a monster he is when it comes to shorter time control.

Hikaru knows the way things are set up by FIDE that you can never own the World Championship. The World Championship owns you. It's why Magnus Carlsen is through with it. IMHO it's why Hikaru doesn't care. He will play to win today because that's what he does. He respects and loves chess. A hundred years from now chess players will remember him even if he never becomes WCC.
