Sam is always good natured, honest and interesting. He’s a good one to learn from for those who are interested in the Philippines and Filipina women. I married a city girl, 30 years ago but the city girls were more conservative in those days. Our son married a province girl and she but she also went to school in Iloilo City. Her mother is a teacher so, she’s educated and highly fluent in English. So, maybe that’s the best of both worlds. I don’t really see much difference from my wife and my daughter in law. These are the champ wife, church going types. Today, the city girls are different, I know. Some of the values have slipped and my wife has complained about the astonishing lack of values that some city girls now have. Granted, it’s still probably better than the US, but the standards of my wife are very high and even conservative men might be surprised what a 1950s housewife is actually like. I bring home the bacon and she fries it up in a pan and doesn’t let me forget I’m a man (joking). I do think that there are parallels between city and country people in the US as well. I don’t see any difference in the Philippines. Because one lives in the country doesn’t mean that one is not educated or up on things. I fact, there’s some that are far more capable than their city counterpart. Then, also, they are better people, in fact. Granted, a person can only speak of averages and there is no average person. You’ll find great people anywhere but the averages tell you where your odds are the best.

Great informative video Sam. Where I live next to the okefenokee swamp in south Georgia it's a very geographically isolated place. I believe a young lady from the province would enjoy the laid-back lifestyle here. Excellent fishing here too😉

In major cities there are province girls working in malls, restaurants and hotels. Better yet if you go to the outskirts of some major cities, or just visit different provinces. I promise you won’t miss them. They will find you. Words get around quick when there’s a foreigner roaming around…

Has she adjusted well? My buddy married a young Filipina from Cebu 15yrs ago and they moved to Sarasota Florida and they are still going strong. I was the best man at the wedding since I was the one who encouraged him to come to the Philippines with me 17yrs ago. 😃

Only way is to go to the province n meet her. All else is speculation n lies. Yes they are western now.
