We “repurposed” at 55. No more corporate craziness. Went to Tech College and learned HVAC. Now I can fix the Heat and AC for single moms, the elderly and other people on a tight budget. We don’t need the money so most of it is free or just my cost of equipment. We are God’s handiwork, created for good works in Christ

For society it's so important to go to school, find a job, get married, have a couple of kids. To make money but have no idea whatsoever how to manage it. Obviously. Because at school I don't know exactly what we learn anyway. Since I did start reading books and learning from KZread. If you only watch what is good. Like Dave Ramsey obviously. Visit places, people, and trying foods I've read about in books and seen in movies/TV growing up. Heck that place in the thumbnail I saw on Discover Channel and visited 3 months later. If I was sitting around it was on the flight to get there or rest and relaxation.

Completely possible! I’m 35 and decided to finally go to university, I’m a FTIC student and I’m studying for my bachelors in Mathematics. Got in on a full scholarship and I have a 4.0 GPA, my plan is to get my PhD in applied mathematics with a cryptography and machine learning focus. I was worried about starting so ‘late’ but have been told by my department heads and internships that age is not a problem it’s all about ability! Anything is possible and it’s never too late to pursue what you desire! 🎉

There is such thing as a disability retirement for law enforcement for various federal/state/local agencies. If you are hurt in the line of duty, and it is deemed a permanent injury where you can no longer perform your duties (as in the case with the caller), you would receive a pretty decent portion, even up to 100%, of your pension as if you worked your full 20-25 years. So not "suspect" at all, just lack of knowledge on your part!
