Same here, I have fallen asleep so many times to this channel (in a good way). There are videos narrating ww2 diaries that are good too - especially the one written about a 21 year old German tank commander - you should check it out

WWII in Colour is the gold standard of all historical military docuseries - thank you for sharing!
@leoarc1061

It most definetly isn't. The colour images and videos are very nice indeed, but the documentary itself is extremely biased. It pushes the old narrative written or otherwise expressed by German generals after the war, such as Manstein, Guderian, Halder, Galland, among other less prominent Generals.

For cold war documentaries, the absolute best series is CNN Cold War. I know it says "CNN" on the title, but this was produced in the early 90's. It's a mega unbiased documentary series. They always interviewed people from both sides, regardless of the topic, presented the facts, again, from both sides, and made YOU decide who was right and who was wrong.
I have no idea how old this documentary is, but it was interesting and well made.

This is one of the best documentary series I've ever seen - it was on Netflix and I watched it many, many times. I wish they hadn't removed it. I randomly found it here - yes! It's fairly concise, hits every major factor in the war (excepting maybe the war in Burma), and provides anyone who watches it with a strong knowledge of WWII.
We will always support this channel. They're one of the best.
Where can I view this and other documentaries without the censorship by blurring out multiple scenes?

I used to watch the whole series once every 6 months or so. WW2 in colour is brilliant.
Excellent content. Thank you for sharing.
Good doc. Only criticism is that it needed to be longer and more descriptive on their war crimes in China and Southeast Asia.
The most beautiful and wonderful channel that provides accurate and very useful information in a distinctive and wonderful way. It demonstrates your sincere effort in providing the best to everyone who watches the episodes of this wonderful channel. I wish you lasting success in all your work, which deserves all respect, appreciation and admiration. My greatest respect
I kept wanting to yell "focus" at the guy running the film projector...
I loved these when they first came out, and watching them now, alongside new documentaries, really shows how good they are. Being objective is a big deal, and watching anything nowadays makes me long for the days when facts and objectivity mattered, and people didn’t force their current politics into everything they make.
Excellent stuff. Thank you.
A wonderful channel that deserves the best regards, appreciation, admiration and pride. It provides accurate and useful information. I thank you for all the beautiful words and sincere feelings for your distinguished posts. I wish you continued success and all the best. My utmost respect and appreciation

This was an excellent summation of pre-WW2 politics in Europe, and especially Spain.
Where's Stalin?
Do you have the other parts to this documentary as well? It was on Netflix a while back but not anymore. It’s a great documentary.
This was very interesting. Have you made a similar documentry on how WW2 Communist dictators rose to power?
They rose to power because they loved their people and the people loved them
Quality color/colorized film with help of computers make the footage incredibly surreal. This.Was.Not.Long.Ago
👍
Is the same today? Yes.
Well no kidding they finally recognize this masterpiece of historical documentaries
"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out-because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out-because I was not a trade unionist. then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me-and there was no one left to speak for me." -Martin Niemöller
There was only one Fascist leader, Mussolini, and by definition he wasn't a dictator either.
Rather than its wonderful colorful show and limited introduction of selective events. Not all events occurred in the introduction between two world wars revealed ⁉️,it was a cold war in silence ( 1920-1939) .western hemisphere silently backed Japan aggressions against red USSR. Britain & France encouraged spying & exporting rebellions by Balkan & eastern Europe countries against Germany in the west and USSR in the East. Britain participated in the Ethiopian-Italian war beside Ethiopian efforts. Britain imposed economic & commercial sanctions against fascism Italy 🇮🇹 before Italian inventions of Ethiopia 🇪🇹.

The only people Italians could defeat were people fighting with spears and bows.
Need to add Emperor Hirohito to the thumbnail. Japan was as fascist as they were in WW1&2.
Happy to see that the Spanish Anarchist lived up to their political values by kicking up a civil war while fighting in a civil war….hahaha
very superficial.Of course, it tries to cover a vast subject matter in less than an hour, which is not easy. However, I was vastly unimpressed: not a great result

Fascism is not a synonym for authoritarian. Fascism was a specific Italian political movement. Everyone who has read about such things, knows you don't know what you're talking about when you use the term "fascist" outside of the Italian/mussolini context.

It was literally a plagiarized video. Check out WW2 in color. They used the same music and most of the dialogue was exactly what the other one said
