I grew up in the 80s - My mother and I loved Carol Burnett, was a fun and clever, hilarious lady. That show and here cast are just amazing. I think my sense of humor and the absurd comes from there; I couldn't imagine a word without it ! Thanks for years of fond memories !!

I could just sit and listen to her stories for days. She's so engaging and effortlessly funny. Conan and his team are so lucky to have this opportunity.

I know others have said this but - Carol Burnett is a national / international treasure. Her Birthday needs to be a federal holiday.

The Family skit with Eunice on the Gong Show flipped my young empathy switch on. I no longer laughed at Eunice’s life situation, I now had such empathy. Thank you for making me the man I am today Carol! LOVE YOU FOREVER!

One of the things I remember about Carol's show was that it travelled to Australia and was one the first shows at the Sydney Opera House.

Have always wanted to ask Carol if the Here's Agnes sitcom is the same thing as the zany episode of Twilight Zone that Rod Serling wrote for her in which the character is named Agnes.

CONAN.... I recently saw the follow up movie about the outcome of the "Family" ..... thinking about that Family -Sad- episode of Eunice going on the Gong show...well ultimately she had an opportunity to go California through her brother played by (Roddy McDowell)...she was too afraid and stayed behind to take care of an Aunt while mourning her mother's passing. . ..very sad ending. Kinda sticks with me too.

Which came first: the first Family sketch or All in the Family? edit: I replayed the video. If Vicki was 24 with the first sketch, it would be 1973 or, maybe 1974. All in the Family premiered in 1971.

I loved the Carol Burnett show, but the Mama's family skits hit too close to home in my house and I didn't like them at all.

Time and a place, neither applies here

Carol Burnett has been my favorite famous personality my WHOLE life. My 1st time flying into LAX, she was standing next to me in baggage claim, along side (what I believe) was her driver & personal assistant. I wanted so badly to speak my gratitude to her, but I didn’t, because this was during the time that her daughter, Carrie, was battling cancer. I didn’t want to interrupt any of her time. I worship her tenacity & strength. 🩷
