How can small communities support innovation? | Jackie Killings | TEDxCartersville

Breaking barriers to innovation and entrepreneurship isn't only for big cities. With creative thinking and effort to embrace new ways of doing things, Anytown, USA can become the next hub bursting with innovation, start-ups and big tech. How can we navigate the avenues of unintentional barriers, nurture innovation and unlock potential for communities? Jackie is co-founder of K & M Technologies - a technology and innovation scouting firm that connects entrepreneurs and start-ups with established corporations. She is also the founder and President of Khensani Business Advisors - an organizational management and training firm that helps organizations unlock their potential and be better versions of themselves.
Jackie is a High Energy Disruptive Innovator, Strategic Planner, Learning Enthusiast and Master Connector of Innovation. She is passionate about discovering and nurturing innovations that will disrupt traditional industries. She works with small organizations, university researchers and entrepreneurs to advise them on strategic and technical direction and to assist them with building relationships with larger corporations.
Jackie received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University and her MBA from Kennesaw State University. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Sorry works when mistakes are made, But not when trust is broken. So in life, make mistakes but never break a trust.Because forgiving is easy, but forgetting and trusting again is sometimes impossible.

Regulations are often protective of big businesses and wealthy interests. Starting with decentralization puts power back into local hands. Great talk. She made great points.

No culture or society can have access to all of my mind or my time until they assure the safety and sanctity of all mothers and children, regardless of belief, of race, of religion, in all diversities, as a human right... Understanding consequence...
