Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.
Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness - a global spiritual awakening.
Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.
In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

Does anybody else feel that peacefulness as well when Eckhart stops or pauses for a while before speaking? I don't know why, but I feel like he says: an inner stillness - like there IS no problem in the world, like none of it matters.

First time I’ve ever posted a comment anywhere... thanks to being, truly inspired. It’s dawned on me how much of my current situation at work is driven by my own ego and desperation to be something else or in a different role. Rather than accepting it and actually trying to enjoy the role, I’m disengaging , focusing on not where I am and ultimately getting nowhere. Time to pause, accept and see where it takes me. Thank you so much, Ejhart for sharing, all of you for listening. 🙏🏽

Spending 8-10 hours in a joyless job, it then trickles like slick mud on the rest of your time! It’s very important to find what you like....look forward to going to work. It gives satisfaction and joy!

  • @michaelaisabelschou8804
    @michaelaisabelschou880410 жыл бұрын

Well, I find that it has helped monumentally to change my perception into bringing joy to your job/ activities etc. I can still do that, not feeling dis-satisfaction, accepting the present and feeling gratitude for it. And still feel an inner knowing that there is something else/somewhere else where I will be fulfilling my higher purpose in a deeper sense, where my personality and my soul is in alignment and where all of me will be used to a higher purpose. I guess it's like what Eckhart said when he started out by having small groups of people in his home. He wasn't complaining about it, he was just asking the universe, because he knew that there was more he could do, to show him the way or lead him, and eventually the universe did. Guided him to the U.S. to write a book and everything that went along later on. The reason, so many of us know, who he is, and has heard his message, is because he felt an inner calling. And meanwhile he was content, present and bringing joy into every situation.

I wasn’t bored at work, but I felt in a prison, working for a company on their terms. So I started multitasking and planning my own little business while still getting my job done. Then I took Fridays off and taught myself how to use the internet. Plant a seed of hope in your head and work towards that goal, even if it seems like climbing a mountain, a bit like saving money, you have to just make a start. Love this channel

In every one of Eckharts videos you can literally see a change in him the moment his passion kicks in. He starts off with a fairly generic answer- then a minute or so in his voice and excitement level changes and his passion for teaching his concepts kicks in. In this clip it's around 2:30-2:35.I love watching people who are doing what they are meant to be doing and following thier passions. I'm grateful to this man for teaching me what he knows. It has and still is changing my life

Eckhart, I have read all of your works several years ago and then over and again, and each of them changed my life, in momentous ways. My ex-husband discovered you a few years after I did, and we actually built a mutual friendship around your work. We had sporadic contact, and he went through intensive brain surgery in 2006. You work, among others, kept him going, and helped him to build a whole new outlook on life. Sadly, he crossed over around January 18 2014. As he would have said . .he left his human form. The minister even quoted you In David's Eulogy, per David's wishes, I am sure. Thank you for your Energy. And thank you for the extensive work you do, to guide us all in knowing that we are always, in our form, in the NOW. And that is all that we ARE. And I know deep within my being that David, my ex and true love guided me to this page. With Love and Gratitude. For him and for me. Thank you.

Any job you do in the beginning is fun but after sometime the job will start getting to bite you. I don't stay on any job longer because when you stay in one job for long then it would be very hard to quit and the job become routine and boring. So work somewhere for 2 or 3 years then quit and look for another work. Try different kind of job. When you quit your job make sure to have minimum one month of your expenses saved then quit and try.

I like this guy, don't know much about him but these ideas seem pretty healthy. Very Buddhist in a way. I do agree that presence is important in life -life is really just a totality of a bunch of present moments. But I think we have the capacity to think and to take action for a reason. If you're stuck at a place you hate full of negative energy then take actions to get out of there (WHILE practicing presence). My own life has taught me that how much free will you actually have depends on how much free will you THINK you have.

In order to use work to progress mentally or spiritually,to develop your understandings you have to concentrate very hard these days.there is often no real support around you and a lot of the time one is in conversation with negative energy. Particularly when you try. Its tough and takes full concentration but if you can build it up little by little you can succesfully provide yourself with a posituve environment. Good luck.

Work and career have always been the piece to the puzzle I was missing . Terrible jobs my whole life. I struggled through raising my family and remarrying and raising two more . I went to college in my younger years , but at home was where I needed to be, which I loved but was not fully appreciated. Kids grew up, left home but before they did I went back to college, was hoping for that career to take off, set back again due to multiple medical problems. Now I’m disabled. It’s been a tough reality. Still searching for my purpose. Plans aren’t always reality they are just plans. Ohh life’s challenges. I’ve just learned to expect nothing that way I’m not disappointed.

It means that people care too much about not really important things. You can do this and that job make carer or not make it and be ALWAYS same happy and be free from the problems and I'm sure if your more concentrated .you can work better , more creative and make better carer as a side effect

Wow 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you so much! Have been struggling for so long with the very same question (among others) though different, more challenging job context. But never Felt the peace to just leave. So stayed and became more and more bitter and down,.... then I had the revelation that even if I ran Away and moved to other job, it would still be me...I could not run away from me, ...no matter where I went, I would still bring Me, Myself and I along 😢😱😰. I gradually started to let go of What If and Why and How ... let go of the hurt of the past..of the pink vision of potential future versions of What might be... of the habit of taking pills every time my head split with agony and pain. Something started to change ...there is less self pity ...less judging...less resentment...less hurt overall! Still have far to go, but life has suddenly become... more acceptable in all ways, especially inside...less standing on the edge of the precipice about to fall and choke inwardly .

Time tells us what creative endeavor we should be pursuing. Time goes by slowly if we are doing something we should not be doing. For example, time goes by very slow when we put our hand on a stove burner. This tells us we shouldn't be doing that activity. Even though Van Gigh made little money painting pictures...time flew by fast for him when he was painting them Same with the writings of Shakespeare and the music of Mozart.

You can always find interesting things that u like to do. For ex. I dont like my job doing in small gaming venue where junkies and unhappy people are coming. But i am trying to find positive side in people and to do things that i like. To practice latte art, improve communication skills, connect with people who are on same energy level with me .. etc So find something what can make u or happy or to work on your self in any way. Cheers
