Arsenal were struggling to sell out not that long ago, which was previously unheard of. This quote doesn't fit Arsenal at all

I see a lot of people arguing that Atlético can not be refered to as an underdog because they are spending big money on players like João Felix just like the other big clubs do. But for me personally, Atléticos image is not defined by the money they spent on the transfermarkt but in the way how they compete with their rivals on the pitch. They trigger passion in their players and make sure everyone understands that it takes hard work to win a game. While Marcos Llorente did not make Real Madrids first team, possibly because he was not glamorous enough, he is now one of the key players for Atlético with is athleticism and fighting spirit. Or just look at Luis Suarez who Barca thought of as an ageing player who lost a step, he instantly became an impact player for Atlético due to his desire to win and proving people wrong. So for me, what distinguishes Atletico from the other big clubs, is their willingness and their pride in working harder and more passionate than everyone else. Great video, I really enjoyed watching!

Also they weren't relevant until the 70s so yeah right now they don't have that image but still have some of the spirit.

Just a little pedantry - Atletico finished 3rd in Laliga 19/20. The graph at 0:28 shows 4th. Simeone hasn’t finished below 3rd in any full season.

I've been an Atleti fan since 2018, and I can tell you the underdog brand and passionate supporters really worked on me.

Ever since the 2013/2014 win and their run to the CL Final they have literally exploded on the international scene, their simple colours and crest make all the more recognizable to international audience. Plus their history have enshrined them as a underdog team, producing a ton of Talent like Koke, El Niño, Lucas and Theo Hernandez, Saul, Partey, Rodri, De Geá, Raul, and Morata. They have established themselves as a third big team in a La Liga that people support internationally, eventually I feel like Sevilla will soon reach that threshold.

For the people who say we are a big club that's only become apparent in recent years because of Cholo before him we were a mid table club. Our "big singings" Lemar 70m and Felix 120m. You can see that we are very new to this, but prior we were a club that relayed on our academy and what we had, moving forward I do see us being a big club as Simeone tenure has brought balance to the club in the last decade.

Very happy with their strategy in North America. Despite Athletico Ottawa not doing so well when it comes to results the community around the team is growing, and their chances of being the biggest Ontario club in the CPL (the other two being York United (based in North Toronto area) and Forge FC (Based in Hamilton) should be their target, as Ontario can be quite the market in Canada (especially since 50% of the population is there)

I wanted Atletico to win the champions league so bad especially in 2016 when they lost on penalties they were the better team that game but they didn't convert their opportunities

Great video!!! Just one correction: at 2:28, that's the Nou Camp stadium, where Real Madrid's other big rival FC Barcelona plays, and the flag (yellow and red stripes) is the Catalan flag.

Suarez was amazing this season and of course pivotal for the Atletico's liga; however, it must be said that he was also spoiled as fuck at Barca; he is extremely talented, but he was simply not delivering his best at Barca in the later seasons; for him, getting kicked out of Barca was pivotal to wake him up so he would work really hard to deliver the best of him once again

In 18 Roma .. Blanked them 3-0 that's in the defense ..in 19 Liverpool did the same thing to Barca .. He has played at a high level for the past 11 years . Not to mention current form.. he's dropped if a bit since 16 ..but there is still no evidence provided to the contrary if Suarez performing at a high level .

Your channel is really good, but this is the third football club video in a row. They are good videos, but some more variety would be appreciated. Still would really like a video on expansions in North american sports, particularly with the NHL expansion draft for the Seattle Kraken coming up.
