As a Warriors fan, people don’t give wiggs enough credit for our title run. He guarded the best opposing player like crazy, grabbed defensive and offensive rebounds, and was able to create his own shot when needed while moving off ball, setting screens, and hitting spot up 3s. Guy was our 2nd best player, and am so happy to see him succeed

For me, that play in game 6 where Tatum got called for a travel illustrated how dominant of a defender Wiggins has become. Tatum got the ball one on one, saw Wiggins, and was SCARED TO DRIVE. GP2 is one of my favorite Warriors players in a long time, but it was almost a blessing in disguise when he went out and we lost our primary stopper. I forget the interview, but Kerr said that Wiggins came up to him and volunteered to pick up Doncic full court, and i think that finally unlocked defensive stopper Wiggs. This guy fits this team so well, he blended in so well with the "all about the team" mentality, even from his vax decision at the beginning of the year, to stepping up to cover that stopper role while gp2 was out. I agree with this vid that this is just the tip of the iceberg for him, all he ever needed was that confidence and dog mentality to come out, and it sure did these playoffs. Cant wait til next year!

Most people really don't understand what a total beast Andrew Wiggins can be offensively if given the reigns to go out and really eat on the regular. In the final 32 games of the 2017 season (the number of games played after LaVine tore his ACL and was out for the season) Wiggins averaged 25.9ppg. In his career he has 44 games with 30pts or more. And he also has 9 games with 40pts or more... When Wiggins is asked by Kerr to go get it, he can, he does, and he will continue to do it. But, right now, that's not what he is normally being asked to do. He is mostly tasked to tame the best non-Center/PF scorer on the team. And that's what he's doing. Wiggins literally (27) just entered his prime. And he's still got levels that nobody's seen yet. At Minnesota Wiggins had 4 HCs and 4 different systems in 5yrs. How is someone supposed to set roots and grow as an overall player with that kind of visceral turnover at the top? Especially after being a 19yr old one and done'r in College. He was raw and almost directionless knowledge wise.

Regardless of who we got out there, Wiggins knows he can repeat this type of play consistently. Like, if he can have this level of production, defense, rebounding, etc WHILE GUARDING JAYSON TATUM, he can do this against anybody. Wiggins can just jump right back in and he doesn't have to figure it out, if he's not getting points he's locking down on defense, if we need boards he's getting rebounds, if one of our splash brothers is off, Andrew can go and get a few extra buckets. I so hope we do right by him and we bring him back. I love how Wiggins has just shut up his critics

It's always been a mental thing for him. No one has ever questioned his athleticism, ability to score, defense, etc. His consistency was always what was questioned. He couldn't handle the pressure of being the number 1 or 2 guy. Now he's in a situation where he's coddled and (based on this clip) constantly reassured and over and over told what to do. Trying to change someone's mentality is by far the hardest thing and unless he decides to change he'll only be good as long as they constantly ride him. The second they get tired of constantly having to tell him what to do over and over again and reassure him he'll dissappear just like he did in Minnesota. He's either one of, if not the best player on the court, or he's completely irrelevant. Rarely anything in-between.

The best highlight was him super-dunking on Luka and making Luka flop like a tuna. Luka the Tuna, get it? The next best highlight was Wiggs literally head-dumping White with his dunk(White was hit in the face); when I finally got to watch the game after work, I was doing the GP2 head-bumping thing involuntarily.

Great shit right here. We get caught up in the you’re either trash or a GOAT we don’t really appreciate the players that fall in between. Ppl were calling Wiggins a bust and all he needed was for someone to tell him to go rebound the ball. He did it and he saved GSW this series by doing what Klay used to be able to do. Love the advice but I love the fact that Wiggins listened. Somebody give WB number to this dude

I have been telling people since the first chip with this core group, The Warriors have the ultimate system to play in. You have 2 sharp shooting vets (Steph and Clay) who are unselfish and will feed the hot hand. Wigs game came together to allow him to do what he was drafted to do w/o the pressure of being the “1”. You have Draymond who is the heart and soul, the inspiration - who doesn’t score a lot but his passion and basketball IQ is off the charts. Combining that with a system that allows everyone to get touches and a young hungry crew on the come up and you have a great system. The acquisition of J Green to add to that front line, the Warriors are going to be a problem provided everyone stays healthy.
