You assume things are priced by what they cost to make. Bad assumption. That only happens with businesses that fail !!

They are paying their works a Living Wage. So they don’t rely on government handouts like Walmart workers. So customers paying more, however, customers are not pay for welfare because a billion dollar doesn’t want to pay their workers.

0:52 ...flat sheet of acrylic. I thought acrylic was transparent and clear, are there different types of acrylic? Do they all just differ by coloring agents or something?

They best product is bike travel case. not use for travel, but for space efficiency storage when you not interested in cycling anymore.

Best tool to deal with your bike when you lost your interest in biking is either craigslist or ebay.

It is funny to see how the USA Social structure is mirrored in the Thule Organizational structure: > Big Boss: White, Manager: Black, Workers: Hispanics (Alvaro, Claudia, Alejandra, Victor)... The good point is that all of them has the same opportunity to grow (always thinking in a Sweddsh company model, like IKEA). best.

I believe Thule got into the roof box game by purchasing the German maker JetBox. Until then they only made racks.

Same with their thule t2 classic bike rack was originally from sportracks. Then thule bought them out back in 2004,2005 . Thule is good I use it a lot but they remind me of snap-on in a way.

Only problem is its not theft resistant ... it needs to be metal and not acrylic ...

  • @zacharyfernandez

Metal would be too heavy and cumbersome to put on top of the car and will make the car more top-heavy than it already is. The box is locked and if a thief started hacking into the acrylic, they would probably draw a lot of unwanted attention.

My dad bought a Thule box some years ago. They may seem wobbly and thin, but they actually are pretty protective (Multiple people tried to pry it open etc., not a scratch). Also, they are made from thicker and higher quality material and have noticeably more thought put into them than those cheap knock-offs you can find.
