House Hunting in California. What does $1.5 million get you.
Ғылым және технология
I'm still in the market for buying a house in California. Prices are coming down but inventory is still low. First house is in Northridge 5 minutes away from work and the second house is in Granada Hills mountains 10 minutes away.

I love how you talking in this video is almost exactly the same as you talking through a circuit board problem 😂😂🙏 god bless and hope you find a house

When you got a rythem and it works flawlessly why wouldn't you adapt it to everything else 👍
Love your approach. No way are these houses worth the price. We have the same bs going on over here in Berlin. Like a 1 room flat of 375 square feet in a modern area costs, keep seated, 500.000€ and 400k for flats in the outskirts. And people, mostly rich non locals pay that- to live in this fancy, bs city and pump real estate prices beyond moronic levels.

Artificially inflated. California is a shithole on top of it, people have fled the state in record numbers. Anyone who buys places like these right now is asking to be underwater on a loan in the worst way.
Im glad you your taking us thru this. I enjoyed the other vids you did on buying a house.

I want the info on his home inspector. That guy did an amazing job and I would love to have him inspect a home I would like to buy.
Its crazzyy prices, good luck Alex 🙏
With all the negatives in California, fires, prices, taxes etc etc I would seriously consider a move to a better state you can do what you do from anywhere
I have never been to California, but I knew cost of living and everything was higher there. This was real eye opener to see! Thanks for the video and the good content! hope you guys find a great house, you guys definite deserve it!
Wishing you and the family all the best!
I love to watch these type of videos. Do more!
Really love these videos as well.
Man I can go with this dude anywhere and STILL be amused. He can go to a beach and say "Look at this... It's sea water. But has no waves... How come a beach has no waves?! It's a beach. Unbelievable". 😂 But yeah... Welcome to the struggle. Same here in Europe, INSANE prices. They just look for excuses for raising the price.... The house is right in front of a train track = you got quick acess to public transportation = pay me more. The house is 40 years old, old lighting, old decoration = gives you cozy feeling = pay me more. The first house at least had a pool 😅 Not much of one but still....
Great videos. Looking forward to see more like this one 👍👍👍👍 enjoyed you shared that with us.
Thank you for taking us in a tour. Not only are you successful with micro soldering but also as a real state agent. Inshallah you will get the best house.
i hope you and your family find a beauty and nice new house! good luck! greetings from argentina!
Instead of the house, Loved watching the Two Cute 🇸🇺🇬🇦🇷 🇨🇺🇧🇪🇸 😍😍 May God Bless You All 🙏🙏 Love from India
You could totally make a tour around a convenient store parking log interesting...over here we have a bottle cap next to a discarded box of stale donuts. Thanks for the upload my friend.
Popcorn ceiling in the first sleeping room is probably loaded with asbestos, especially at that age.
all that hard work paying off my man
In Florida our pools are covered with cages that are connected to the house. It keeps out the leaves, bugs, but most important animals like snakes and alligators.
"And the Pool needs work...", so funny man :)))))
Interesting video, the second house looks lot better. The view is amazing
nice change for this video. found it fascinating definately enjoy some more if you do them.

For that price in the uk you won’t get anything like the US do lol
Take a look at the houses in Chatsworth up Plummer street just before you get to valley circle.
You are not only doing good work by using microscope camera but also doing good work using vlogging camera 😊
Very nice. I would love it.
When i look at a home, i look at the thing that cannot be changed like low ceilings, land size and the structural of the house with a reasonable pricing. The new appliances and fittings thats bonus but can be renovated easily.
That second house at 9:42 that is nice , in the kitchen, nice very nice
Unfortunately none of the houses you have shown are worth the price. Hopefully something comes up for you and your family. Thanks for providing us a walk through of the homes in that area.
A big moment in life buying that family home. Lots of fun. Enjoy the moments and struggles. It's all worth it. Too bad it has to be in California and in this market.
love to see this kind of videos well deserved accomplishment in life 🙂
This is what happens in America -- and people wonder why millennials and such are 'discouraged'... College is MUCH more expensive than even 30 years ago. House prices are such that you can't afford them now unless you have THREE wage-earners.

You can always create your own project and build a house. But then forget living in a big city, because that costs money, and be ready to have to develop a community in your neighbourhood, because that's what you pay for when you buy a house in a more popular area.

Typical crybaby BS. Plenty of affordable houses out there, you whiners think you're entitled to live in specific places.
Popcorn ceiling looks very early 90s
In sha allah you will find a house that you will be pleased with. Nowadays everything is so expensive. 10 years back you could buy a house a lot nicer with the same money.
I pray all will go well for you and for your family, brother. You have assisted many with vital knowledge and skills through your video. May the creator make things best for you and your family.
Wow what a beautiful home, you deserve it....
at 13:31 look as he is approaching the window, in right down corner, some black area, might be indication of mold if windows leak a little ,even could be because of temperature change, thin windows, cold windows, hot air inside = mold
its nice to take a break from regular uploads to see this, please can you do a video where you show us around the spots where the terminator films where filmed.they are very close to you shop,eg the bar where he first gets his clothes off the bikers.the water culvert where john conner gets chased on his scrambler
ماشاء الله تستاهل كل خير هذا جهود تعبك استمر اتمنى لك التوفيق و المزيد من النجاح
At first I thought you randomly took some children from the first house.😂😂😂
Eh... wow! Born and raised there in Northridge back in the early '60's. Balboa blvd and also on Parthenia. Have family there near Louise. Prices sure have gotten out if hand from what was $60k when I moved out in the 70's. I simply can't understand what people are thinking to spend that kind of money. I guess the expectation that it will still increase in value.
15:41 Sometimes I watch your old videos. but, make another video like this💯
Good luck sir
I wish you will find your dream house Alex.
The second house would be worth that price even in Europe, in a similar area. Maybe a little less but not that much. Definetly worth double the first at least lol
I’m really on a virtual tour, I see good parenting by the way thumbs up, expect grand kids very fast from the son I see he likes jumping on the beds and you take long to get some from the daughter as she’s so detailed thanks though it’s amazing to see how life is that side, in Dubai it’s different everything is artificial most especially outside
Here for the Graphics cards fix and stayed for house reviews(Even tho i live in Pakistan and honestly cant even get 1.5m). You should really start another channel or series. Man i love your brutal opinion.

11:45 that is also very nice area, I hope the house has hidden pool somewhere because that might make it 1.5m house, but so far looks like 1m house at best
“From the time of the dinosaurs” 😂 that had me spit my water out
Bro Alex - if possible to buy an empty piece of land and build a house according to your favorite design will be much better and save you a lot of search. Best of luck
In my area that’s a 50,000 dollar house all day! Good luck to you! To try
First one is the best got pool privacy everything and bigger kitchen
Its all nice in summer, but what about winter, will it leak, will windows leak air water, what about roof etc etc
The "grass" area in the back yard is terrible looking. The "plaster" as you called it is actually grout or mortar. The white expansion caulking that is cracking is as I said before, dig it out, put in rope spacers or backer rod and use new Vulkem. The cracking of it shows you just how much the pool expands and contracts against the concrete area. Second "Pink house" looks very good. Seems well taken care of and it has a lot of character. But, you have to like their style and architecture. Seems pretty maintenance friendly. I'd have or get someone in the HOA to give me a recent survey to check on the stability of the hillside for potential hill landslide problems. Looking at the bald hills above, I would worry that there is not enough vegetation to hold onto the earth to keep it from sliding. Also, what would it cost in home insurance for that potential problem? I LOVE your precious daughter's honesty!
I think it's good for multi purpose family business. You can manage to make it for warehouse too. Hope you will be in great health
thats about $500.000 K in Austin right now. Good Luck Bud!
Come live in Perth Western Australia same weather as California it not as busy and you can buy 3 houses for that price and you can bring all he family over to live. Happy house hunting
The second one looks better at least, with the pool from the first one it would have been even nicer, with 1.5M you can go to portugal and build a house the size of a full street
Alex is doing a diagnostic of the house and will be ready to repair
Backyard has some privacy but you're right, it's just old and needs upgrades. Not worth the asking price for the first house
Massive fires - great selling point..

Another component level board repair tech doing real estate videos wow. Another thing did anyone else think it was NorthBridge not NorthRidge?
The replacement costs would be several million dollars to buy those homes new. * Inflation is not getting any lower and never will. ** Employees at McDonalds are getting paid over $15.00 hour
Is this an old video or did the previous sale fall through?
3:46 in that moment i feared for that kid
Same thing is starting to happen in Phoenix. Everyone from CA is trying to get out and heading to Phoenix. Last couple of years home prices have more than doubled. It's not as bad as CA yet but its getting their fast. 1.5 mill is junk now.

Yep. My 90k house in Buckeye is worth about 400k on the market. I'd consider selling but there's no point, everything in the valley up to an hour out is ridiculous. 300k for a manufactured in Tonopah? No thanks.
crazy prices out there.. ugh..
Your wife and your kids are happy to have you
In Maryland the Tax Assessment office is online and you can find out what the State value of the property is and the property tax, see how that compares to the asking price. Maybe California has that too. Good luck on your search.

That's true many places but remember assessed value and taxable values often have nothing to do with prices the houses will or could sell for. And if it does sell, then that may trigger a reassessment based on the sale price and result in higher taxes.

Las Vegas has the most overvalued housing market in the country, been here since '06. Watched the market bottom fall out in '08, and it's worse now than it was then.
Most experts are calling for a pretty sizable drop in real estate prices in the near future (within 1 year) especially in Cali. Might be worth looking in to friend
nice Vedio ☮️👍
Move to Victorville, you'll get a home 5 times that size for a million....easy drive to northridge Palmdale to the 14
dont forget about neighbors, seems like they can see your backyard, and in general are they loud etc where are you moving into, whos your neighbor, so many times its more important to have a good neighbor than to have a good house
Did you notice the giant crack in the floor of the second house? Right when you walked in and started talking to that guy.
unbelievable. you look at an old property and meet other people also looking for one and at this budget?!!🤯🤯
Alex a nice guy petite in family interests let's next home👍
You could build a privacy fence and reclaim some of the outside space. Over all though, I find a mortgage for 1.5 million risky to take on in this anaemic economy. In any case I wish you and your family a house that adds comfort and security to your lives.
Lol pranking your son with jumping in the pool fully clothed 😂 classic.

1st house, It’s gonna cost another million to fix it all… wow I’m speechless!
Canada is nice. Central & east, no fires.
Bought a 6 acre with 4800sq ft home for half that price boss, California prices are no joke, you can buy two or three homes with that money anywhere else in the country with that money
Don't forget to hire the same inspector from last time when you're ready to buy.
More house/land than you get in most Australian cities.
Not trying to convince you or anything and I guess you already know that if you buy now you buy a house at the top of a bubble. The housing market is expected to burst, prices already started to fall (asking prices started to drop). Same with used cars and a lot of other things. So if it's not that urgent for you I would wait.
2nd house is so beautiful but the cost is too much
nice house but you can see you need to do a lot work on it too. always go 3 times to a house before you buy it. everytime you look different. first time you are dreaming and you dont see the important details. nice area by the way.
If you take that house and place it in a nice area in the UK, you would definitely pay a hell of a lot more than £1.3 million, the 1.5 million would probably be around £3 million.
For that tag I hope you get your family the dream, maybe it won't be where you want it. Not a big fan of that first house myself. Agreed about privacy on the second. Ridiculous prices.
Wait for a bit Alex, that market is doomed to take a big dump fairy soon. In Galveston County, Texas and you can buy houses for 600K that are like resorts compared to those dumps - on the water with a private boat slip and swimming pool. 4000+ square feet. Texas still has a few years to go before it's market takes a crap.
I'm in a new 2 (year old) home in an upscale gated community. On a huge lake for my backyard. Home is 3200 sq ft 12 ft ceilings. Since we moved in it has gone up $400,000k but $100,000 less than this asking price. It's not even close which home is nicer. I feel very bad for you. I'm in Florida. Consider moving to here or Texas. You are mail in you can work any where. Get the hell out! Pre pandemic down here that house at most would have been $5-600,000 plus needs another $200,000 to make it current. The prices there are insane but someone will buy it for sure.
American suburbia is something else. Massive lots and underbuilding housing for decades and people act all confused that we have a housing crisis?
Not cheap, but they would be around double that price where I live in St Albans, UK, just outside London. Prices here are ridiculous.
How can we fix the blown prices?
You need to move to Australia that kind of money buys you a mansion with a pool on the water here probably have enough left over for the boat to park on the water
