I've seen homes in rural Ukraine going for 500 Euros with no takers. They usually only have an outhouse with a septic tank. No fun to use in the winter.

500 euros for a house is rather untrue. But if there is a house for 500 euros, then this is a village where there are no people, schools, or shops at all. I host a Ukrainian-language channel and show many houses for sale there, and I have yet to see an ad for a house for 500 euros.

Foreigners buy houses in Ukraine. Only the foreigner has to pay + 18% of the cost of the house. Everything is formalized at the notary.

This is a large village, Ukrainians live here. I don't know if people of other nationalities live there, maybe, but there are definitely not many of them.
